VILLAGE CHARTER

MC Name:

sean_kyle

RP Name:

Sean_Bradshaw

Village Name:

Riverbend

Why are you/your character starting this town? What role will it play?

After establishing himself in the wilds, my character started working with others in the area and providing for some local needs. He started an Inn and began to develop stronger relations with his neighbors. He began to discuss the benefits of banding together and starting a town for mutual support and well-being.

We will be a quiet and homey village that first exists for the benefit and safety of the citizens of the village. However, we are also strongly motivated by the desire to help and provide for others in our region of the wilds, offer haven to travelers, and pool resources to conduct trade with the kingdoms to the West such as Salvus and Renatus.

What type of political system is enforced in this town? Is this town under the reign of any other nation at this time?

The political system will be a simple leadership initially. My character will establish himself as the leader. While a village it will be by leader only, as a strong leader will be needed to establish and organize the village. If the town grows, he would transition the position to a mayorship.

The village is under no other nation as it is in the wilds.

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.)

The residents of the town will be primarily human but, welcoming to any elf or dwarf. We are friendly with all travelers as long as they keep the peace. We have no allegiances to other nations, we simply trade with whomever is willing.

Where would you prefer the town’s region be, and how large? Including a screenshot of the land would be nice (of game or map).

The region is to be around the current Riverbend Inn on the West side of the river at approximately:

x -2576

z 1843

Any additional land area that we could acquire protection for would be greatly appreciated and helpful for farming and economy support buildings such as a small forge, grain house, etc.

Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc):

The architecture will be mostly beam and plaster with as much accents and style as we find comfortable and homey.

Feel free to join the village! We need at least 3 more signers. There are folks we deal with in the area, but they are waiting on other mainland charters.

This is a ripoff you stole my name... thanks a lot. My town has been called riverbed a long time. Maybe you should have checked with gums and such before naming it. i hope you can change the name.

Haha! Wow... Calm down my friend. I didn't rip you off or steal your name. I had no idea you or your town existed. Riverbend is a pretty generic name. I started an inn at a bend in the river, hence the name. There are alot of towns in the world that share names, it's not a big issue. Furthermore, I'd wager that your town is more than 2,000 blocks away so it doesn't really matter. I think you're over reacting. You know, you could have responded a little more positively. How about, "Hey friend! My town has the same name! Great minds think alike. We should check to make sure we aren't to close so it doesn't cause any confusion." Way to be mature about it.
