and shops still wouldn't be able to sell everything with a lower price

Isn't that the point? Autoshops being more expensive gives real, roleplayed shops a chance too.

I'd rather have neither autoshops nor NPC's...

What's wrong with just roleplaying?

Oh, and all the people saying it's too expensive; Remember the King's road? Shops from the temple to Al'K, all with junk noone wants. Making it.expensive deterres people from making shops everywhere.

I'll tell you what's wrong with RP-only shopping: someone actually has to be there. There are 3 stores in Salvus and of the three, I've only found one that is ever open. And that's less than half the time I've been there. I'm not a regular among the big cities, but every time I've visited a capital I can NEVER find a shop that I can actually buy from. My first two days on this server consisted of me walking from town to town trying to find a place that sold bows and arrows. It was VERY annoying.

Well, my tavern is open for a large part of the day. It's because I have multiple employees standing in the sometimes, and because I stand there half-AFK myself a lot.

If you'd have visited Alras you would probably have seen people in my tavern.

(I've only seen Salvus populated once, on a Sunday. Been there on weekdays, and it's deserted all the time.)

Well Showcase is a good plugin and all but its pretty awkward as the items have to be actually there. Many shops are fairly small and won't be able to sell many things with this plugin so its a bit awkward. So Localshops would be better but considering its outdated there is another plugin that is basically identical to Localshops and maybe better called CommandShops . Could the shop plugin be changed to this as it would make little shops be able to sell a lot more and save having huge shops taking up a lot of space.

Thing is, in real life, smaller shops sell less than larger shops for the exact reason of space. Smaller shops arent supposed to be able to sell everything, otherwise a 5x5 shop would be just as useful as a 15x15 shop

/npc help = You do not have permission to do that.

So Npc's aren't actually working, cause last time I checked I was a Diamond Donor.

Guess we will have to wait for next week for this to be fixed.

Yeah, 1000 minas is way too much. Should be more around 100 minas. Some people, including myself, simply like to sell items that are not very profitable so we have a wide variety in our shop. I own a farming shop, so I sell hoes and help farmers. However, me and many other people are not going to pay 1000 minas to sell an item not worth the price. So if it is this expensive, there are many items shops aren't going to auto sell.

It's not like it's 1000 minas to restock the shop block, only to start it up. Take your losses and wait for it to make profit. Eventually you'll get your money back as long as you keep the shop running...which, to me, is just an incentive to keep your store stocked and operating. 100 minas would let anybody who votes for the server to make a shop a day. Tell me how that's NOT a bad idea.

For those wondering about NPCs, there was apparently some exploit that was discovered that could have dramatically affected the in-game economy (for the worse, unfortunately) and they're being disabled until they're "fixed."

There were a lot of things wrong with NPCs as they were released, and disabling them while all the kinks are worked out is a lot better a decision than letting the players use the exploits while they're there.

That said, magic is coming. It's a big pugin and it'll cause a lot of balance issues if it's not worked out perfectly. It's also creating tons of controversy within the RP community, so give it time.

I like the shops, and the price is fair. The way Showcase works is that you pay a flat price to set up a shop for a particular item, and you can restock it indefinitely without paying again. I'd hold off on making them though, as they're still very buggy. A guy in my town set up a shop with a few hundred bread and it vanished the next time he logged in, and lost all of it.

Keep an eye on the forums and news and I'm sure it'll all get straightened out.

WHAT!!?? 1K per block!!?? that means 1k per every item a shop sells.... what happened to $??? minas per shop!

that caused every shop in all the lands to be able to and were selling every thing they could without proper rp for doing so, you could go to a blacksmith and buy bread or a bakery and buy iron....
