A Darkness Looms…

Ouity scratches his beard with a grim expression on his face, musing to himself.

This attack sounds... familiar...

Ouity looks closely at the man

Did you see any magicians of some kind causing this? Any source to the maddness?

Magicians? I... I don't know. I didn't stay long enough to find out, it was too terrible! I'm not going back to see, either, and neither should anyone else in this room.

*Vardemis watches the commotion from his seat in the corner of the tavern. His hood obscuring his face.

He smiles. And thinks to himself: 'And so the weak shall be wittled away.'*

*Vardemis mutters to himself*

"What an ignorant fool."

*Murkash begins listening to the story, after a short while, he gets up, pushing through the man and interrupting his story and he walks out. He does not care for the mans story and does not want to listen to him anymore. He takes out his long-bow and travels out of the town to hunt. *

"Hmm... This... this business is interesting. I shall go exploring I suppose..."

I know that if you truly intend on doing so, nothing I say can stop you, but please heed my warning. If you value your life, do NOT go...

"There cannot be something out there so powerful that cannot possibly be defeated."

*Sheskai sits in the tavern as he puts down his spoon, he then wipes his mouth with his sleeve as he asks the man*

North, West, East, or South?

*Bydal listens with some meek curiosity, spooning his soup whilst listening to the only interesting thing about him; this man's story. Upon its finishing, and the voices about the crowd, Bydal brings himself to mutter to himself,

"For all of the interesting things that happen around here, people have to ruin them with speculation. I, personally, am quite interested as to what this may or may not be. Perhaps observation of the man telling the story would prove whether this was fact of exaggeration. Either way, it's something to do."

Shrugging, Bydal continues to spoon his soup and listen to the voices of the crowd.*

*obviously drunk, sets his glass down, spilling some ale on the table. He speaks*

"Ye're crazy, sir. Ne'er heard of such a thing. A wall of fog?"

*chuckles to himself. He speaks up over the commotion of responses from what the man said, sarcastic in his next words*

"Ye best stay away from them wall!"

*Now shaking his head in disbelief, he drops coins for his drink on the table and shuffles out of the tavern, chuckling here and there, and mumbling phrases of disbelief against the mans word.*

I... I don't know. I have no idea where this tavern is , and I have no idea which direction I ran, as I was just aimlessly running with the sole purpose of getting as far away from my village as possible. Besides, as I've told everyone else, returning there would be suicide and I don't want the lives of others on my hands, so I wouldn't tell you how to get there even if I knew.

*listens to the travelers story then quickly pulls out his map.

*after examining his map he mutters to himself this is grave news indeed.

*marks where his home town is on the map and wonders if it will be safe for it is close to where the fog was reported to be seen.

'Says out loud' we would do well to heed this mans warning as for me I will prepare for the worst

Akeron listens uninterested, and leaves midway the speech to his room.

" Wrong crowd, you bastard."
