This topic will be split into a few sections such as: Lifestyle; Work (Occupations), Food, Etiquette, dress, etc. Government; Guilds, Clans, Rulers, The system. War/Diplomacy; (Self explanatory.) Religion; Praise, Beings of importance, funerals. Lifestyle The arrival of the third century brought new hopes and methods of living to the dwarves as they have begun to enter a early Renaissance which has begun to introduce the production of new weaponry, gathering devices, crafting devices, and even fashion... This new age also brought with it new occupations and a new sense of unity as dwarves await another golden age. Occupations Due to technology advancements and a re organization of the dwarvern guilds new occupations as well as old ones have become available to the stout figures of Khaz'A'Zharr. Miner: Miners are the backbone of the dwarf society, it is common to see large amounts of dwarves drilling and collecting rare ores such as diamonds or gold within the tough hide of the earth. Stats: Smithing 50+ Runesmith: (Smith) These enchanted smiths have learned the ancient arts of rune smithing which allows them to create mighty rune weapons, tools, and armor for the humble dwarves that serve the nation, because they are of smithing origin this means they can craft tools without rune enchantments thus allowing them to keep working whilst un occupied. Another change in dwarvern clothing is the need for more engraved and slashed cloths or metals on one's person, though some dwarves have talked out to this new "predicament" of hiding their honor in the shadows, they would often in turn decide to bear no mask or hood when indoors or in the company of friends. Due to the new location of Khaz’A’Zharr the dwarves have gotten closer to the tropic local of the far islands, and the warmer weather coming from the south thus they choose to pick lighter clothing to bear on their daily escapades which is far more different than the normal nordic style the dwarves are believed to bear. The colors of the nations are; brown, gold and grey as they represent what the dwarves love most... Also due to advancements, the common dwarf has found to be rather keen on the use of golden mail to defend himseld, as well as bear a brown tunic as armor under armor has been found to be hard to bear. http://invisibleadam.deviantart.com/art/Eberk-Torunn-4550515?q=meta%3Aall+boost%3Apopular+Dwarf+mail&qo=72&catpath=&order=0&offset=72 http://www.minershoes.com/skin/view/i4f7350002c12b12490229114642423524102242 The Death Mask of Dungrimm the mask is a sign of praise towards the god Dungrimm for allowing a dwarvish kin to pass on in the afterlife but though some may frown upon these masks in average society they are praised when used in time of war or conflict as they are a sign that the dwarf is serving Dungrimm. the appearance of the mask is often a face of a shouting dwarf or simply just very well bearded, masks that do not bear such a appearance are not allowed for use as it is human like to bear masks for the simple use of decoration. Examples: Etiquette: Dwarvish Etiquette is a rather simple when it comes to the common bow, chest bump, dwarf-fist, head bunting (bumping), or chest beating each is used to make friendly with other dwarves Dwarvish Slang Cocney accent; Changing 'Th' into 'F' or 'D'... Examples: Thing = Fing, That = Dat, Other = Oder or Odder. Changing 'H' into " ' " unless making a noise that relates to one saying "Aaaah"... Examples: Hat = 'At, Hate = 'Ate, Head = 'Ead. Chaning no, 'not', or "n't" into 'nae'... Examples: Didn't = Didnae, Aren't = Arenae or Arnae. Changing words such as 'Like' into 'Loike' Exmaples: Mine = Moine, Kind = Koind. And finally Saying 'Aye!' instead of 'yes!' Here is a small dialouge. 'Ello mate, 'ow are ya doin'? Foine ya say den? Gud ta 'ear lad... Dese be dark toimes fer sure mate, but 'opefully dat'll change. Cracker 4570 Share Posted March 22, 2012 Religion should definitely be mentioned here. My character is exploring a personal faith of Dwarven faith where he follows "God" whose words are entailed by his prophet and Messiah, Uruguan. Uruguan's words and actions are echoed by the Paragons, who reflect the qualities of Uruguan and therefore God. He spends his time indulging in his faith, either through educating others of his faith, feasting and fighting in the name of Uruguan, God, and the Paragons, and meditating at shrines to the Paragons and Gods. I'd also like to mention the Dwarven way of combat, as while we enjoy fighting, we don't fight savagely like orcs. Rather we fight with diplomacy, words and planned tactics, utilizing our Dwarven unity, traditions, and intellect along with our muscle to crush our foes. Charles_Grimlie 1072 Author Share Posted March 22, 2012 To Arbrek: I would like to know what skills should be added to become a runesmith, and also maybe a better description to go with it. To Azaroth: I didn't know they where (or would be) acting like vanpires O_o The topic that covers issues related to behaviour is the etiquette section. Arbrek the Ancient 140 Share Posted March 22, 2012 To Arbrek: I would like to know what skills should be added to become a runesmith, and also maybe a better description to go with it. The things you need to become a Runsmith are as follows, you must be in the Smithing Guild, have 100 Smithing, 50 Mining, you must be able to trace your bloodline to Urguan, and I have to REALLY, REALLY, like you IC. To become a Runelord, you need all of the above, plus 70 Mining, and you have to be a Frostbeard, Irongut, or Starbreaker.

Omithiel 192 Share Posted March 22, 2012 We can also add the tattooing of Dwarves from tattooing through Religious reasons Artistic or even because of battle or right of passage. Also we can add the reason we have braids, piercings as well. Theres alot we can add to this. I had an idea where we have customs. An example where dwarves would bonk heads if they really know each other very well.

But yes we need to figure out a application for tatoos and or piercings in our society.
