Ah, the militant High Elf female. I dare say there isn't a single one who plays them lore-correct in all of Asulon, or even one who tries. Which is a true shame, because there really should be some of them.

I can tell you personally Nelecar's been making quite a sacrifice to play a political position as a racist bigot. The primary RP you get is conflict, and it's taxing. It'll be a nice breath of fresh air for him to have someone to love and have nice rp with instead <3. I'm hoping whoever applies to this is willing to dedicate towards the same sacrifice, for then the RP that will stem from this cannot be anything short of amazing.

Thanks for sticking your neck out once again Maly and I hope you'll find your precious commodity.

Yeah, the request is here for one to make a new character that fits the bill. This archetype doesn't exist in LotC because starting from scratch, it is VERY hard for them to gain friends and status simply because of the attitude. We bypass this deterrent by ensuring OOCly the character will fit right in, and bestow upon the server a RP type that wouldn't be available otherwise.

We will need a good RPer for it, obviously, one that isn't afraid to get a bit stuck-up and bitchy most of the time. I am personally extremely excited about the catfights between this new wife and Ellir; I already have a few good one-liners.

All the world's a stage, my friend. These High Elves that act oh-so-dignified right now, do you know where they stood thirty years ago? They were peasants, guards, had the same menial jobs and status as any other. All that makes your High Elf character's bloodline royal or respectful is her declaring it as such.

Funny thing is they look down at Sythra and she was their Princess when they were guards, ditch diggers, and archivists. :mrgreen:

Ironic, but I love the RP they provide. I hope you get someone Nelecar, and I urge anyone reading this to look past the 'wrongness' of his character and look at the ingenuity of the Player himself to pull off such a character.

I assure you, the high elves, even the Arch-Conservative ones such as Nelecar do NOT share the views of their characters IRL. Its ok to be 'wrong' as a character. Its a great experience and I'm glad to have the opportunity to interact with them on both my characters (Mori and Dark Elf).

I'm not always kidnapped... I got released by the Mori yesterday. I'm now only going to stay INSIDE Haelun'or.

That section there really matter very little - you could be a beggar for all Nelecar cares, as long as you're pure and sufficiently totalitarian. I recommend looking up Sporadic's wonderful guide on high elven RP, then you might be able to see what they're all about. Merit over status, essentially.
