A Dream?

You instinctively turn your head upwards as the first droplet hits your skin. A bolt of lightning flashes overhead, illuminating the darkening sky. Your hands cover your face, attempting to shield your eyes from the piercing brightness. Instead of being blocked out, the light grows ever brighter until it is blinding. It encompasses you in it's warmth for but a second then quickly fades away, leaving behind a deep sense of grief and emptiness.

As your eyes adjust once more to the night you find an archaic structure resting on a dirt mound. It wasn't there before.

You take a hesitant step forward. A bolt of pain runs up your leg, spreading throughout your entire body. It moves like an inferno and you drop to your knees, clenching your teeth and panting. The torrent of rain feels like pinpricks on your agonizing skin. All other sounds fade away as a clear voice penetrates your thoughts:

"DELVE INTO DEPTHS OF MY MADNESS! DRINK DEEP FROM THE POOLS OF MY INSANITY!"

You jerk upright in bed, drenched in sweat.

Arch Druid Ouity jerks upright in his bed, his chest and face covered in sweat. He takes a moment to collect himself before looking around his room, the sandy floor, and leafy walls. Instinctivly, he reaches out with his mind, feeling the teeming energy and life rolling off the great plant in waves. He notes every organism big and small, and their presence sooths him. He stands, walking to the large gap on the foliage that serves as his window, looking out on a small river and the plains beyond, he sighs.

"Ever since Respiren and Dusk came around I can't get a good night sleep... that felt diffrent though... the building... out of place for the Aspects..."

The aging Druid runs his hand through his dark hair, staring out the window stoicly.

Vor'Kalan opens his eyes as the cryptic vision ended, covered in sweat. This was not surprising to him, as every session of sleep has been plagued with nightmares, probably from his own lack of sleep which carried on for months at a time before he ever got some shut-eye, experiencing hallucinations and all things related to them. However, this dream was different, stepping on the boundaries of if it was real or not. Vor'Kalan shrugged it off, assuming it was another form of another nightmare.

Lime wakes up to the thud made by his body as it hits the hard wooden floor of his cramped bedroom.

Ahh... bloody Nether... At least it was a wooden floor this time.

Tries to recall the dream, expecting to come up blank, as per usual. To his surprise, he can remember every detail of the odd nightmare. Reminding himself that dreams are just that, dreams, he takes a sip of the ale he keeps on his nightstand and crawls back into bed. Lime closes his eyes, thinking that he'll have forgotten the whole thing by morning, and goes back to sleep.
