We Need Someone In Charge Of The Library

As the library nears it's completion, it becomes more apparent that we need someone in charge of it. I of course nominate myself, being raised by elves and being a scholar and all, though I have heard someone else is interested in the job.

Two people willing to work.in the Archives, Library, and all around it.

Here is what you will have to do, OOCly and RPly:

[*]All the Dwarven History must be documentated and placed in public and/ or private.

[*]You have to go around and or, 'interview' people and possibly write a Volume about their jobs or ask them to do write these Volumes about their profession themselves.

[*]You may gather life stories from Dwarves and/ or write own stories yourself.

[*]You make sure that books robbed out of shelves are replaced, with this comes you need to have books backed-up.

[*]You can go on a journey with the Ambassador and possibly King for a talk about politics, you can then make sure everything that is said is noted down and stored away safely in the Archives.

Out of this you can conclude that you this job looks like Dwarven Druids.

You also need perfect punctuation, and you will have to dedicate mostly to roleplay seeing as that is where this job is all about.

This is summarised what You need, what You would do and What it also looks like.

I just listed this, this shows that you can actually make this a full time job and you will be RPing a Load, which will make you the best in it. We can create certain Ranks and all, that is to be considered but as I stated all this I show you what you need and possibly need to practice on AND that this can actually be rather a full time job

I doubt librarians got ranks. I think it's enough with one person, as long as he stays active. The main job would be to write the books, acompany diplomants that are going to other nations to trade for more books (and information) as well as taking notes during each major meeting or event. That means that the librarian/secretary doesn't need to have ranks or be too active, but needs to be on at specific times to take part of the events in RP to be able to take records.

i would love to go to the high elf nation and trade some books, maybe look around their library, see things etc.

I find that with the Job of this documentation it is not about rank or about control. You merely find out information and record what you have found. How you display the information is up to you. You can use noticeboards ((Forums)) or the Library itself.

Depending on what information you are displaying really depends on what the importance of it is or the type of information.

If you seek to record information then my best advice for you is to find an area in which to record in such as guilds or wars or trade and focus in one these sections and record the information similar to how the history is recorded.

((Make a forum post about a section of Dwarven Lore and start recording. To gather information the best way is to be part of something such as being in the Dwarven Army or Legion if you want to record war. Or if you want to record our economical state then understanding the quotas is important. As for me I observe a few or these areas such as in the Council and and at the moment a great focus was on the Language. Now that we have had to flee Karik my advice for you would be to record ventures and incidents that happen there))

We do want multiple persons hosting our Archives, you know those Midgets at the Bank at Harry Potter? Conpare it to that, people that write down everything and are just smart under Dwarves as other Dwarves do not know much cause they only mine. I think we would have sort of ranks, but then in how much time and effort you dedicate to your job, how higher you get.

Taking records can also be done if you just ask around on things and how the actual event was if you couldn't attend
