No, we could use inclines to power some. And I love the idea and think it is even better without fast travel!

Without fast travel it will be hard as we you can make it so that you have all minecarts at one destination, anyhow. I would like to implement Fast Travel on some places but on some I would prefer normal tracks; Facilities and all would have Rails, Cities will have Fast Travel.
