((My only major issues with these events is how much ahead planning they require. The world is so big now we can't just go on these spontaneous missions anymore. It was awesome in Aegis because we could just up and do stuff. Now the world is so big you need to plan days/weeks in advance just so you know you have enough time to do something.))

Other thing to consider is actually bringing back the Jobs, but I do not know what we would offer back then we offerd big fancy houses, maybe ranks social status etc?

I also thinking We should bring Shaman things to the normal orc I do not mean makeing them shamans but blessing dances feasts, Pilgrim war paint stof like that, even stroys and things of the like.

Oh Mogroka - you just sparked an idea - Jutra's Story Time! Woot - no Gm required and I have meat cookies to hand out as well.

I'm going to go figure out some stories to tell. I'll need to create a storytelling tent ( I know exactly what I want it to look like and it could double as a meeting tent) One will be in the valley and one in the outpost. I'll have storytelling at both places so everyone get in on the goodness!

I can't wait!!!

Rulgs Mogroka!

Well said, Jutra, and it needs to be said. We need to start focusing on our roles and specializing our efforts, especially those of us that are the veterans and the leadership of the War Uzg. This includes myself, as I've been burnt out and losing interest lately myself. We need solidarity and we need to come together to get out of these ruts.

I didn't renounce my claim to Targoth, at least not in-character. In-character, Thore challenged me for it in a klomp and won. Out-of-character, I just felt that I had held the title for too long and really had no intentions of doing anything productive with it, as I wanted to focus almost exclusively on shamanism. And most of my other activities are really more in line with what a Yazgurtan might do, breeding and butchering, gathering supplies, building, etc. This is mostly because I'm usually online with very few players and it's all I can really do right now.

I have a few ideas that I'd like to put into place soon regarding shamanism. Just need time to develop the lore and the methods. Things such as war dances, rain dances, oral tradition, lessons in basic battlefield medicine. We have very few shaman and we really need to start focusing on our roles as shaman, since there are so few of us. Within shamanism, I think we need to focus on what our roles and specializations are going to be and just drive it home. I plan to eventually specialize in exorcisms and curse-breaking and would like to be able to take on a helper or two on various exorcisms, I just need to figure out how I'm going to find a steady flow of demon-possessed individuals.

And is Jutra officially recognized as a fellow shaman? Or am I the only one that sees it? :P

Edit: Also, we need to make sure that we're not just basing these positions solely on who won a klomp. In some cases, that's fine, but if someone's not living up to their title, they shouldn't be able to hold onto it just because they have better FPS and can click their mouse faster. It's the responsibility of each and every one of us to know when it's time to step down from a position. If there are players that are more capable and in a better position to run certain aspects of the War Uzg, we need to let them.

Jutra deeply respects shamans and what they can do (their mojo has literally changed her life) She's also fearful of Spirits (anyone who's read her journal would testify she has a right to be!)

I can see her helping keep the lore and traditions of belief in Krug but I'm not seeing her with her own mojo, ancestors or spirits to guide her. Her medical help is all simple first aid techniques she learned from the human doc-tor Botar. (if the spell system ever gets put in - I'd like to have the healing spell but I'd RP it just as advanced medical training for her and nothing more.)

Back on topic... I'm hoping to see more events from all of you - take up the torch and lets make sure this server knows why Orcs rule and pinkskins drool. (Yes..Yes I did just say that  )

Watch for my storytelling announcement.

That's why I feel you should be recognized as a shaman, to show that shamanism is not just about the mojo and that not all shaman have a strong link with the ancestors and spirits. Healing and story-telling are sufficient. Also, Ned Lud'Gorkil is secretly afraid of ghosts and spirits of the intangible kind. Urara is probably the only one that has ever witnessed this. Luckily, he seldom runs into them. It also drives him to overcome his fears, and of course he'll generally maintain a tough exterior around others, unless caught off-guard.

Which is why Ned has an itty bitty little fawn covered in flowers for one of his spirits >w>

Hmmm.

Just a thought, Ned. Why dont you look at the Native Tribes of America for some ideas?

Was watching Pocahontas a few days back, and I like how they substitute words like 'Choosen one' for 'Dream-giver' . Not to mention a good use of drums, dances to pray for a good hunt, throwing and deciphering smoke to get a divine message of a kind.

Not to mention tribal music is very soul-shaking. You could have a orc bard, but him using conches, drums, that sorta thing.

Dont think I've seen a orc song yet.

((Just don't stop posting warclaims. The Dwarves aren't doing super well right now, I say blitz their northern borders and start carving away at their land. Good RP to be had there.

Also, perhaps each Orc once they reach a certain age must go off and participate in something like a rite of passage? Go klomp one of every race before they are a true orc or something. They wouldn't be allowed to return to the Uzg until they're done. For some this would be quick, for others it might take years.))

We do have a rite of passage, although not every Orc is a warrior. There are some that are very well the opposite. ^^
