*You notice a colorfully painted poster plastered on message board in your city. It instantly draws your eyes as you scan the elegant cursive lettering in green ink.

Greetings inhabitants of the prosperous land of Asulon! I, Griffith du Mont, Grand Maestro of Asulon’s Academy of Bards and Minstrels has picked up a recent hobby, painting of portraits! Indulge me in this new pass time, by requesting one now! My fees are high but all earnings will go towards the further development of ArmaLuna and Asulon’s Academy of Bards and Minstrels. The first three requests will receive half off of the original price.

You may find my fees below:

Full Body Sketch using charcoal and quill - 7000 Minas (Each additional person is 3000 Minas)

Full Body Sketch using charcoal and quill with scenery - 10,000 Minas (Each additional person is 2000 Minas)

Full Body Portrait using paints made from various dyes - 10,000 Minas (Each additional person is 5000 Minas)

Full Body Portrait using paints made from various dyes with scenery - 15,000 Minas (Each additional person is 4000 Minas)

If the portrait is to be done outside of ArmaLuna, I’ll need my travel fees, lodgings, food, and guard costs (or you may be so kind as to provide one for me), to be all paid for in advance. To take my duties away from Asulon’s Academy of Bards and Minstrel is a costly thing, I’m afraid.

To request a painting, visit the far eastern island of ArmaLuna. A ship in the Wilven Sancturary Docks is awaiting for you to board.

If I am not around, leave a letter at the post office addressed to the Head Secretary of ArmaLuna (and my lovely wife), Lady Kyra du Mont.

- Griffith du Mont, Grand Maestro of Asulon's Academy of Bards and Minstrels

*Regaki looks at the prices, and quickly spins around, walking away*

These portraits must be the works of gods and goddesses for that amount. I've never amassed more than 5,000 minas myself...

*Mili walks by and stops, his mouth hanging open*

Those be expensive paintings!

_leaves a note_

Eh... Do you at least have example pieces so that no-one spends a fortune for a drawing akin to the scribblings of a young child?

Sees the note and balks

"Is this painter crazy? Simple portrait for 7000 minas?"

Continues to walk, muttering about rip offs and idiots

[[Though seriously, 7k is a bit much. There won't really be a lot of business because not many can afford a 7k portrait. Even in the real world, a self portrait is around 1000 at most. Unless of course this is mainly aimed at nation leaders and such]]

Ah yes, certainly.

*Griffith opens a carefully rolled piece of painting with both hands.*

"This is just an example of our ArmaLunian style art. Rare as they come, this painting is the only one of its kind in all of Asulon!"

[@Hawk: Precisely the point. It's not a commission that's cheap and meant for just anybody to "afford." It's meant to be rare, expensive, and have "value" in game. Urara was commissioned 10k for a painting, 7k seems fair to me. ;)]

*tilts his head at the painting*

Is that a demon of some sort? It can cast fireballs, has wings, and horns!? Perhaps a Daemon even?

((I sad faced very much when seeing the price as I will never be able to afford your works, despite you being incredibly talented. It would be a fair price if more people could afford it, your art is amazing.))

Ehh... A painting would be nice...

*Autumn looks into her coin satchel.*

Well forget that nonsense. Perhaps the prices will be lower some other time, or perhaps if you provide the dyes or something of the sorts.

*Autumn shrugs and continues walking back to her manor.*

"I'm quite unsure as to what this... woman is. She's appeared before us a few times in the past and this painting is a depiction of her from my dreams... I know little about her."

(( Maybe because Syrio commissioned it? ))

((Paintings back in the day were extremely expensive. The poorest to afford portraits would be well off to wealthy merchants. It was mostly something Nobles and Royals commissioned. So if you are a peasant why would you get a painting? You need to spend your money on food and tools whereas nobles can just throw money around. I say it is a fair price in an RP sense. Besides the fewer requests he gets means the higher quality the work will be since he won't be rushed by thousands of commissions.))

(( Hey, it's me, Raioh / Gwonam, the guy who's character asked for a "Full Body Portrait using paints made from various dyes" with his friend, Aulin included (If I'm not mistaken, the total cost should be 10,000, + 5000 ). Well, here's a description of my character like you asked: Quite tall, around 6 feet, 4 inches and rather slim. His hair is black and quite spiky, a bit like someone from a manga such as DragonBall Z if you know what that is, with 4 visible red streaks in it from the front, and he also has a goatee beard. He wears a rather dark brown, leather jacket with a black undershirt, visible where the jacket divides near the centre of his body, if that makes sense. His trousers are very dark blue with a black belt, the buckle being a blue gem with a silver setting. He also wears dark shades, the lenses almost pitch black. His shoes are also dark brown and have rather thick iron heels. In case you forget, I'd like him posed with a cigar in his mouth while smiling in a rather evil manner, holding his machete ( About 2 feet long ) in his right hand ) with his back slightly turned to Aulin. His appearance in general is just rather intimidating. I hope this descrition is clear enough for you to work from and I have no doubt I'll love the result! ))

Edit: (( Forgot to mention, he's a human, just to clarify ))
