An Unexplained Journey... (Going On Hiatus)

-a hastily written notice is hammered into the wall of the Dreadfort, it reads-

A message to the people and nobles of the Holy Oren Empire

Comrades, I apologize this note cannot be of victory, or of glory won in battle for Renatus and her King. Rather a statement from me, Count August Flay that will leave many of you feeling betrayed and abandoned, while even more feel a lifting of spirits and relief.

Near a decade comes since the day I first wielded a blade for this Kingdom, and since that day, a field of corpses lay in my wake. My methods were brutal, but my motives clear. All I have done, has been done for the betterment of the Holy Oren Empire, and its supreme ruler, King Godfrey the First. I have been described as a vagabond, warmonger, a sociopath; today let those who hate me rejoice, for my time here for the moment ends.

I must go on a journey, a long one with many roads and bumps that will take years. I may not see any of you again and my heart is heavy for abandoning my post and my men. Let it be known that I, Count August Flay of Renatus, banner to House Horen and his majesty King Godfrey I, resign my position as Count and head of House Flay, something I would leave to my younger brother Tiberius Flay if permitted.

To those men that I have fought alongside, know that your courageous and zealous actions against our enemies has made me the proudest man in all of Asulon. I cannot feel more burden in my heart for how I must leave you all now...To those that wish to pursue other careers, let it be, no punishment will be delivered. To those that stay, I beg that you heed the wishes of my brother, Tiberius Flay and follow his rule as you did mine.

I have no regrets, long live King Godfrey, long live Oren, and long live the name of House Flay.

((Well, hope this isn't a spur of the moment thing, because that would be embarrassing. This isn't a leaving post, I'm not that kind of person; I'm going on hiatus for several months, although whether I actually come back or not, even I don't know. As said in the post above, to some of you this will be bad news, to a lot more people, good news. When I got my villain applications revoked again, I was certain I had learned a lesson, the past few weeks has be a testament that I have not. I've ruined more RP then I have created, and I have failed the server and its members in regards as my role as a villain that is supposed to provide a fun environment for the rest of the playerbase. This has little to do with the ArmaLuna occurrences and the reaction to that, I am surprisingly unaffected by any hate garnered towards me. However, when it comes to my very name being used as a base synonym for something bad, a general object of hatred for much of the server, and even subject matter for a joke between GM's, I know I have been doing something wrong. The signs are everywhere, and I am sorry I did not heed them sooner. In a relatively short time span I've been the cause of a lot of the destruction of balance in Asulon and quite obviously, the only way to fix it is to let time run its course, without the catalyst known as coatercam0. Thank you for those who have helped and supported me these past few months, I enjoyed the company. I'd rather not start over again, so unless I do not return by the 23rd of August, I'd ask that my possessions be left alone. I do this because I do care about the server and all those who play on it, and I hope that this might be enough to redeem at least some of my actions in the past few months. He makes the sign of the Holy Light, walking away.

Prince, I love you, always remember that. Even though you tortured Jingeh and LaTerre, I still wub you. I always enjoyed your RP, and I believe you have always created it as well. Stay strong man, stay strong. (My hero, always destroyin' dem settlements...) Please come back one day, please...

(Just wanted to post here, just to clarify a few things. First of all, Coaster, the RP I had with you as a villain was extremely inspiring and that is exactly why I chose you to be my first strip of LotC Comic. In case you think I hate you, I don't. In fact, the encounter with you opened various doors for ArmaLuna to "see the world and test if it was ready for peace," which we deemed no. You have to understand that the server needs people like you around, otherwise the "villainy" just sticks to those horrible -cannot lose- thugs; in other words, you did it right and I thank you for that!

I truly did not mean for it to turn out so horribly, our actions to "disconnect from the world" were solely for RP reasons. You must've prepared yourself for hatred when you applied for your VA, but I doubt you would've imagined the amount the people garnered towards you today; I don't think it fair and I disagree with anyone who would treat you such a way.

You can't say you ruined RP for me. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't have had spent so many nights planning our next move, thinking about who to talk to, thinking about who to seek council and make alliances with. Trust me, you did a lot for Kyra and myself; I was thinkin' about my next action while I was at work! Your RP actions affected me beyond the realms of LotC and no one has done that for me yet. Previously, our minds had only focused on building the island for people to visit and have a little fun at; I had no idea it would turn out the way it did.

Just wanted to let you know that in my eyes, you were a great RPer and brought a sinister atmosphere to LotC... some of the people villains I've seen have little to no flavour and their insults tasted horrible in my mouth. You rolled with the same punches I did. Cheers to you, I hope you have an awesome vacation.

To note, my visit with Godfrey scared the hell out of Griffith. He's currently paranoid that any one from Oren is out to kill him in the name of Godfrey. Y'know, 'cause he offended Godfrey with his first song. XD)

Yeah, following up on Griff's post... None of that 'fake hate' was ArmaLuna, please don't think that. You were an extremely good RPer, and always stuck to character. You gave the playerbase something to be scared of... something to fear. It was really fun, must say... [ ]

( Hope I've left some impression on you Coaster in the short time we've worked together. While I've been trolly around you OOC, I sincerely wish you best of luck in your future endeavors. No matter what they say, no one is a more responsible and caring as you, making sure everything was RP'd right.

I will miss you a lot, and few will fill that void. Good luck bud. And Savage will joyfully await the return of his master)

(Coaster, people don't view you Coastercam0 as bad, but your character "Prince", Prince is one of the true villians that are actually feared and well known, an outlaw. You create alot of RP and without a kind of player like you. Every story has heroes and villians, don't leave because a few people ***** and whine when something doesn't go their way. You aren't a "pest" or other kind of vermin your a true villian, no one likes you ICly apart from your allies. Reconsider your hiatus, you were doing your job perfectly playing a villian who wins and i've seen him lose. Think of the fear and tension you brought to ArmaLuna for example, they went to the orcs to help about you and it gave me a fantastic good 3 hour long RP with Seffx and Tigergamer. I don't know who told you the things you say but when I think coastercam0 I think villian, not

"Bad" or what-not.)

As Tiberius walks into the Dreadfort, he tilts his head to read the note, before unpinning it and squinting his eyes to ensure that what he is reading is true. Upon, finishing reading, he lets out a lengthy sigh, pins it back up against the wall and turns around to Drelik, ordering him to call upon the Bannerman for a meeting of great import. As Drelik runs over to the pigeon coop, scribbling down notes and sending them off to the various Bannerman, Tiberius steadily makes his way to the top of the staircase and enters the meeting hall, before slouching down at the head of the table, his arms outstretched in front of him. He sits, thinking only of what troubles the future will hold and whether or not he has what it takes to be the leader his brother would have expected.

((A real shame to see you leave, Coaster. :( If it is permanent, I'd just like to say, I've had a great time role playing with you since we first met around mid December. Good luck with whatever else you choose to do, hopefully House Flay will still exist if you do choose to return. :P As the comments here show, you were largely considered an excellent villain by many and the server will be at a great loss, now that you have chosen to leave.))

Drelik walks into August's room, after the meeting with House Flay, somewhat sad, he pulls off his black bandana, and scurries through August's chest. He finds.. a red bandana. Drelik, ties the bandana around his face and says

"Long live August Flay"

"I'll do my best to carry your name, and give the red bandana a temporary host."

(( really sucks to see you go... when you return, i'll be standing at the door of the new dreadfort, with a fresh suit of diamond and fuckin a million gold weapons for you :P Really sucks that some negativey from people who don't appreciate what house flay does got this bad..
