Great, now archers in leather will just keep moving back, whilst firing arrows at the person in iron/diamond and just keep knocking them back. It would be impossible for the melee to reach the archer.

To me, archery seems OP

I just took out Pok, when he was using full iron against me with 0 armor and 50 archery...

Kiting is so "useful" now. Noobs who just join the server can take out people who've been Rping as warriors for 8+ months. The slowness and the archery buff really stacks up.

I liked this new update just need to tweak on the slowness of wearing armour to make it faster and damage for arrow. Archers are too deadly, one shot dead if lucky. Swordsmen is useless against a archer, or archer vs archer or any.

Alright, after reviewing the armor plug-in a bit... is there anyway we can jerk up the speed just a tad?

Diamond and iron go about the same speed, which if extremely slow even for armor wearing. I was thinking more on the lines of, armor preventing people from sprinting and only lowering their running prowess a tad.

If we could make it so that the heavy armors preventing sprinting, that would really be great. But still, the plug-in is a great concept and after some tweaking, can really add to the immersion of the server.

Going to quote myself in this situation, I feel this would greatly change that.

I have one question. Recently I got into a little PVP fight with a house of Flay member because some idiot shot at them. Although I survived the PVP (with no kills), I found it amazing how his gold axe put my sword to shame by nearly killing me in 3 hits. I asked a friend about this and he said that axes are a bit overpowered due to the extra lumberjacking damage, ability to break weapons, and supposed crits. He then explained how with swords, you will only get sword skill damage and the ability to parry (A skill which doesn't seem as great as weapon breaks in my opinion). This intriguing news to me drove me to ask if any changes will be made to either the axe or the sword skill to make them seem more balanced? I personally feel like I wasted a lot of my time leveling up my sword skills unless there is something else that I am missing.

My Second question involves the wrestling skill. I notice it isn't very useful in most situations regarding weapons, but very good in other situations. I was wondering if the new armor plugins will be updated to make it so when you wear armor, your fist damage will go up slightly. I've heard a lot that armor usually helps people with fist skill, however this knowledge (like a lot of my post) is still not completely confirmed to me.

If you could take the time to answer these questions, I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Can't we just have it so armor takes up vast amounts of the hunger bar?

Soldiers in all facets, mythos, movies, books, and obviously in real life, can sprint for a TIME.

I would say that wearing diamond armor, after a minute or so of sprinting, one drops to around 3 hunger bar, so they cannot sprint. That seems more fair, and less restricting, abusive, and nerfing as this. Trained warriors -CAN- sprint, its just how much is the variable. It seems silly, that a scrawny bookworm dwarf who's never spent a day running more than a 1/8th of a mile, can outrun a battle-hardened Orc who's been sprinting and training in armor since he was eight.

I honestly don't care if there are any exploits/glitches it is an amazing update so thank you Vaq's! I am so pleased to be able to craft ale again and now when people come after me with full armour they can be easily escaped. And for archery I don't really mind too much and I am sure it will be nerfed but hey, maybe this will increase the price of arrows and that will counteract overuse of archery. Again thank you and it is an amazing update!

I still think this is brilliant.

Even though it makes armored to slow.

People will now role-play archers which were kinda extinct.

I am like a legolas but instead of a sword I have an Axe.

So this will be interesting.

We are still tweaking both archery damage modifiers and slowness of armor. DW we will make it balanced :P.

What about the FOV changes the debuff causes? It's quite annoying when you are constantly zooming in-out-in-out-in-out-in-out...

Also, if you plan on going to war, turn off moreplayer models.

Dwarves, orcs and elves all can dodge headshots with ease, because the "real" model is higher or lower than what the mod shifts it to.

Just a heads up but...

We don't have tanks (while diamond armor acts as a "tank" you are too slow and don't have the raw defense to soak up hits, I've been doing some testing and I can 2-3 shot diamond armored people with level 100 archery.)

We've always had assassins, archers were always able to one or two shot people with 100 archery or even 75, now they one or two shot the armored folk at those levels

And the range dps reign supreme. Meleeing is kinda pointless expect in the most extreme cases. Kinda reminds me of an FPS now, where it's all about shooting and melee is only when you happen to be next to someone. Kinda ruins the medieval vibe when the shooters reign supreme, over the melee men.

good job making iron, gold, and diamond armour worthless. i tryed fighting someone withleather armour while i had diamond and we were sword fighting all he had to do was hit then run then hit and run again till i was dead. only use for diamonds now is tools and weapon. maybe you could add strength as a stat so we can get up to the level were we could wear metal or diamond armour without suffering the weght problem?
