I think diamonds should take quite a long time to regenerate to raise by double or triple Asulonian standard.

Just want to say, everything Danny posted in his long thread is it.

It.

Its solid, has a big picture design, with just enough detail for lore folks to build on, and has potential for the sophistication we want. Its ripe for usage.

One thing i would add is maybe a Giant Wall separating this continent and another land mass connected to it. Something just like the wall of the Game of Thrones books. (havent seen the show so not sure how well its shown there). The area behind this wall could be infested to the brim with monsters. Something we found when we came here and we maintain it for peace. A place for all races to unify, a place people could enter and challenge themselves to the ultimate danger, or fall to its corruption.

Think of it as a great outdoor dungeon that would permanantly be filled with things to kill but wicked hard. Maybe a greater evil lurks or sleeps behind this wall that holds back hordes of monsters. Could the races of this continent unify to end it? Or will the tides of evil rush forth and lay siege to the innocents?

Also to reiterate: Keep halflings and a version of their Vale near the human kingdoms and plains. ;P (i know its already been addressed)

P.S. Would we have the chance to keep a few special items? Ive busted some butt to get a couple of things I hold dear ingame. Would be really aweful to have them just wiped clean.

P.P.S. Danny, your post is a great example of a foundation in world building. Definitely on the D&D level.

While the idea of the wall is awesome it is just too unoriginal. As for the items, I said in an earlier post that if the people of Auslon were fleeing to a new land then players would probably be able to take everything they can carry. Except I don't know if this is possible coding wise.

Hiebe, can the next question be to do with the level of prebuild (I'm talking about cities and such here, not environment)?

Next question will be that.

That is interesting... considering nearly the entire server is altered ideas from countless other sources.

But we still are left with a major possibility that everyone's work will be completely undone which would be a huge shame.

Also I think people can take a small amount of personal items. Like a family sword o music disks. Not diamonds or gold or iron.

I think it should be near impossible to get diamonds. I see way too many diamond clad bandits.

Also, I don't mean one big city, I mean have a city that replaces the Sanctuary.

<br class="Apple-interchange-newline">I dislike the idea of some kind of wall such as that - it's un-original (as Gabriel said). Instead - the areas that aren't inside towns etc should be filled with mobs, meaning that night-time is actually a time when you can't just wander around.

Mobs spawning in larger amounts is good idea however.

Halflings should be on the Human side of the map of course, however not near the human settled areas, maybe a bit into the wilderness.

I do suppose what happened with Asulon will happen again - all items will be lost - if we do go to a third map.

I did attempt to make it as detailed as I could, however they're just my personal ideas.

Carrying items across is code-able however, we don't want people hoarding diamonds and gold etc across if we did change to LotC 3.0 - so it''s unlikely any items will be kept.

Yes but most of them aren't that obvious. Having the wall is just an obvious and blatent copy of GoT.

Change server name to Game of the Craft.

One thing that should be considered must be a entire re-writting of the race lore and base lore for the server, as it is currently written to be based around the idea of Undead vs. Races + Aeriel on the side.

I believe a good cleaning of lore would help as it would allow for a fresher start to RP if we ever do move.

If we ever do, Gaius ;), we would do a complete redo....from what I was told.
