The Restoration of Salvus

"By Imperial Decree, the Kingdom of Salvus shall be reconstructed and restored to a profitable and habitable land once more. Construction and repairs are to begin immediately under the guidance of The Most Rev and Rt Hon His Eminence The Prince Archbishop James of House Hightower."

I. Stage One - Solace:

- Clear out cobwebs

- Clear trees from pathways

- Fix building damages

- Contact previous building owners

- Redesign main square

- Construct new buildings near blacksmithy

- Post permanent job openings (contingent upon contacting previous owners)

- Restore city walls

- Redecorate palace

The restoration project is currently in need of donations of supplies and minas. Donations can be sent/given to the Prince Archbishop ((Baronvo)). Common buildings supplies such as logs, wool, and stone brick/stone/cobble are currently high on the list of what the restoration project needs and donations of those objects would be much appreciated.

IV. Job/Volunteer Applications

The project will be hiring and volunteering able bodied persons to aid with the restoration. Both paid and volunteer work is available. Applications for additional jobs will be added if needed.

Amount of compensation dependent on individual project worked on. Stipends start at 500 minas. Will be discussed via forum PM.

The poll was only to gauge whether people would like the capital city renamed. The restoration is happening one way or the other. Thanks for voting though. :wink:

And quests are being given to the Knights and Lances of Oren within Salvus. In addition, I'll discuss with those that apply what job they wish to do and any fun quests I can think of to get the jobs done.

Any building project in particular you wish to work on?: I would appreciate being put to work on the town square, the dam seems easy enough and I could get it down within a Day at least.Also I think the Palace should be redone completely, it looks more like a Large Manor house in my opinion, not very "Home of the King."-like in style, though that is just me.

Note- I get get several Pages and squires assigned to Salvus to aid ye in the restoration of salvus. Much are have good odd jobs such as carpentry, building, lumberjacking and such. And I have a decent amount of Iron crates (Blocks) I can send over to salvus needed for tools and such from my personal vault if needed.

While I agree, Solace was a bit of hub for RP before we trashed the place. It was with the intent that there would be more rp spread out among the other nations, but I haven't really seen that. Besides, it already looks like the Dwarves are taking it out on Alras, Oren is assimilating, and a few groups are wiping out some of the random villages.

I think it'd be nice to have an easily accessible RP hub again, and who knows, if something should happen to Arethor, the kingdom might just pick up and move on over to Salvus? ;)
