Creative Cafe Sign-Ups And Information

Greetings everyone! I will quickly give you a run down on how the Creative Cafe will work this time around. Things may be a tad different, but for the most part it will remain the same as Arik previously ran the Creative Cafe. Below I will explain the rules and also provide a template that you must use if you would like to sign-up for our Creative Cafe competition. There will be prizes!

First we will begin with the most important information -- what you can perform! If what you would like to share is not on the list below, feel free to PM me and I may add it! You may ~

• Sing a song
  
• Play an instrument
  
• Share a mix
  
• Tell a story/poem

Now, onto the rules! These may be changed as I see fit or if new ones are suggested, but for the time being these will be our official rules and guidelines that everyone must follow. Keep in mind that all TS rules must be kept in mind as well!

• Your competition performance must not exceed 5 minutes (there may be exceptions).
  
• Championship performances must not exceed 10 minutes (there may be exceptions).
  
• If you are telling a story or poem, it must be written by you (exceptions may occur if it was written by a friend and with permission).
  
• If you are sharing a mix, it must be created by you.
  
• Be respectful of our contestant's performances. This includes having your sound muted or going AFK in the Creative Cafe channel.
  
• You may be disqualified at any given time if deemed appropriate by the host.
  
• You may be disqualified if you fail to follow any of these rules.

With all of that out of the way, you may be asking yourself what the Creative Cafe is. The CC is, in simple terms, a fun event that will be held on Saturdays starting at (likely) 6:00 PM EST and will end depending on how many members sign-up to perform -- usually lasting a few hours. There will be intermission times that will be anywhere between 15-30 minutes that will allow you to grab a snack or drink. You will also be able to perform during these times, but you will not be eligible for prizes if you choose to play during an intermission. This basically allows you to perform any other pieces that you decided not to use as your main entry. Encores will also be possible as well. Additionally, directly after the Creative Cafe has finished for the night, a poll will be held to determine the top three winners of that night. Once the fourth week is reached, the 9 winners (3 from each previous week) will compete for the championship prize! Although only the weekly winners will be eligible to compete, anyone may participate during intermission sessions.

If you do reach the championships, performances can go as long as 10 minutes (with exceptions occasionally). If we have a small amount of performers for any week that the Creative Cafe is running, participators will be allowed to have longer performances.
