*Gives Aerios quite a disgusted look, rolling his eyes. He then turns to Ser Lane, leans over and whispers,

"Half o' that mans men don't even know which end to hold a proper sword by!"

Alai leans forward slightly to give his attention to Alexander, a thin and almost indistinguishable frown drawn on his face.

"Excuse me, your highness. I use the term with no ill intent. For where I reside, it is simply formality for myself to address anyone as such. It was ignorant for me to impose this dialect in my greeting, especially to someone with as much prestige as yourself. Titles that would imply lesser quality shall not be issued from my lips again."

He finishes concernedly, his face lifted of it's frown for a second as he ends the apology.

Alexander looks at the man, eyeing him up and down, observing every move and judging him on things on Alexander would know right now

"You are a competant swordsman. I can tell from your walk and movement, now what is your name and title?"

He asks the question with a sharp but semi-interested tone, his invincible face giving away nothing and his eyes only giving a cold piercing look

Alai replied suavely, using a polite and small nod of his head as he speaks. He realized with approval that Alexander accorded him at least some attention, however this is what courtesy demanded.

"Alai Mortis, Your highness. I am not well archived within the books, as mine is a short line of insignificant nobles stretched thin through assassination and plague. I have landed myself as the Count of Rienna, however I also found talent as a diplomat of House Vallark. Our two families are old allies since the first years of Seventis."

As he finishes, he leaves the topic of his prowess with a blade still up for discussion.

Horen, looked onto the nobles from his throne, his ware consisted of a kind of tight waistcoat, fastened by tags, and of very close-fitting breeches, which displayed the outlines of his figure, silver, pearls and precious stones were lavished on his clothes, the sleeves were full and gathered, which gave considerable gracefulness to the upper part of the body, an undergarment was displayed and onto his shoulders a magnificently made mantle rested it was trimmed with fur, was open in front, its false sleeves being slit up above in order to allow the arms of the under coat to pass through. A broad-brimmed hat covered with black feathers rested on his lap a ornamental black dagger hung from his belt. his Shoes were pointed and made out of black leather, a trunk hose completed his sumptuous and extravagant attire.

as he looked on his face seemed to be deprived of emotion and his ears not listing to anyone, but his inner voice, anyone that greeted him he gave a nod.

His hair was worn backwards, the mark of Horen is quite seen in him, his hazel brown eyes, and hair he looks as if he is a young Godfrey, only that Godfrey always had his hair long, and shaved his beard when young, Horen IV kept his beard trimmed and his hair cut short. His eyes did not dart to any one not even the women that he is promised to, they were just everywhere, until he turned to his younger sibling William, and gave him gaze and then spoke ''How is things de..ar brother?'' with a shallow voice he spoke.

William wears dark clothing of the finest velvet for this occasion his hair is loose but kept tidy. The scar that ravaged his face is almost completely healed, his face has a light shadow of facial hair. He has handsome features that will woo any woman.

William smiles to his brother softly and replies "I am fine brother, how are thee it has been quite some time, no?" he then looks to Alexander and questions "So, brother how are the noble relatives of your wife?" he says it was a snarky voice.

*Chuckles hearing his cousin William, looking to Alexander for his response. Taking sips of wine as he does so*

Replies in a conversational tone, happily lightening the mood.

"I participated in the campaigns of Mandarin's March and the Salvus war, though my bowmanship was an adopted trait passed down from my father, long before I had any skill with a sword. It was through a number of teachers that I matured a love for the blade, however it was only after the shroud of youthful ignorance was taken from me that I developed more passive qualities."

Feeling hardly compelled to supplement the man with Alai's full story, and slightly discomforted by the hollow and emotionless glare, Alai leaves a few holes in the short statement as others at the table greet Alexander.

Alexander looks at the swordsmans face, staring into his eyes with his cold and piercing eyes, seemig to relish the nervousness of the count

"Indeed those were fine wars. I hear of many victories there. That's all I wanted to know. Well, for now that is. I may want to speak to you another time. I will be in touch"

He says this wih no emotion save the end, letting the words drip with a held back malice

He turns his attention to his brother William, observing his garb and tone

"Shut up. You are dressed like that to try and be like our brother Horen. We all know you wish to be like him. Also, where is your wife even? I don't see one anywhere, unless you are hiding here from us. Tell me, have you searched for a wife by chance? I haven't seen you even lift a hand to women you could marry easily. But you must not be into women."

Alexander speaks with a quick tongue, leaving no room for his brother to counter between his remarks. He stares with his hateful and piercing eyes, his face invincible looking as always.

He turns back to the table in front of him, not going to let his brother speak to him. He looks at the food placed in front of him for he and his wife, a nice piece of ham with grapes, lettuce, small tomatoes, and scalped potatoes. He lets his wife get what she wants first before helping himself like a true gentleman

Chuckles softly, looking at Alexander dead in the eye he says to him; "Such hostilities brother, quite mature of you really, or pathetic. And black is one of the colours of our house, I just wish to display pride of my blood and kin. I ask a simple question yet you responded as Henry did when he was a boy."

Alai opens his mouth to give a departing comment, however the Prince swiftly intervenes in a reply to his brother. With no intentions to stay as hostilies escalate, Alai retreats to his seat, giving an unseen nod to Alexander, and a quick one as he passes the man's wife. Alai held some unspoken sympathy for Alexander's wife. How the woman could muster compassion in the company of the dark and cynical fortress of angry thoughts that was her husband, he could not comprehend. However, he thought that she would soon become a topic of the debate that had sparked to life between the two nobles beside her. Slumping back into his seat, he keeps his ears intrigued in their conversation, although his eyes seem occupied.

That is what Alexander is, isn't he? Alai thought, accepting another glass of wine without fully knowing what he was doing. Alai saw no possible way to penetrate those emotionless eyes that seemed to simply sit far in his sockets. Out of all of the information he had on the Prince, no weaknesses were exposed orally or through text, and much less so in the flesh.

And black is one of the colours of our house, I just wish to display pride of my blood and kin. I ask a simple question yet you responded as Henry did when he was a boy."

Alexander finished the bite he was taking, and looks to his brother

"You arrogant little **** stain. What do you do for Oren of the family? I have yet to see you do something worthwhile. You aren't even trusted enough to get land! I may taint a duchy, on my own. I have a palace being built for the Horen family, on my duchy. I deal with Ser Lion thinking he can order me around because of his new fancy title, every day.

You are pathetic, brother. You sit on your ass in the palace, thinking of how to waste your time. It's clear that Horen got the best traits of our father. The I my thing you have of our father is a shadow of his looks, and a faint love for battle."

Alexander has stood up at this point. His cold piercing eyes intense and his words dripping with malice and hate

"You don't have what it takes to do what the rest of us do. Do you know why I hate you, truly hate you brother? My childhood. The nobles made fun, but never dared lay a hand on me. But you did. You threw me out of a window, and tried to kill me. My face and body a ruin. And do you know what I got out of it? I got experiance. I got strength to do what you never will be able to. I have knowledge your brain can't comprehend.

While I work and think, train and visit family, you sit and have fantasies about girls you will never talk to, because you are a pig and a lazy piece of rat ****."

Alexander is yelling at this point, hate filling his words and a desire in his eye, clear to all who see them, to hurt his brother

He sits back down, pushing his plate away, and as his wife tries to hold his hand he moves his away, his crown and ring still on the table I front of him
