I can tell you every time I go to Oren to cause any, even small amount, of conflict rp it ends in a pvp fest with the odds obviously in Oren's favor. People don't fear pvp, people fear fearful rp, and Oren does not give it. Sure, they are power gaming, but they are only half the problem. That's all I am saying, two sides to every coin. How can you instill fear in people who just spawn at the Cloud Temple all happy and unharmed 10 minutes later? It doesn't matter whether the fight was PvP or RP... Either way you end up patched up and perfect at the Cloud Temple. (Of course people should RP recovering from injuries but most don't and there is no rule saying they have to.) The sign would say, "roof-hopping is subject to archer fire with little to no warning." I would not climb up on a roof with armed archers nearby, who can obey a Knight's every beck and whim, and not be punished for it. I've also seen people jump from roof to roof in the rain, with a dress on. Come on now, people. That might have been me, but my skin looks a little different than it acutally is. Instead of a dress, my character has a skirt split on the ends, with pants underneath it, I need to figure out how to transition this into a skin, but I'm kind of stuck at the moment. But People Just dont fear them OOCLy so they dont fear them ICLY. deathmetus 152 Share Posted August 8, 2012 ((The problem without any rp warning is that if there is a guard on the roof, and he is not recognized by the officer at the time he could be shot without warning, I tend to patrol up on the roof as a guard so that I might see all trouble on the ground and any roof climbers, I know we have uniforms but no one has given me one rply. If anyone in them military wants we can have these Orenian Lances be assigned to guard patrol on the roof, in uniform, and to shoot anyone down on sight after one hail warning, they could be told who is patrolling ahead of time and anyone new assigned can have their commanding officer send a pigeon to those already stationed, that way we have rped guards and a realistic way to know who is actually on these roofs.)) ((edit: We could also have a specific section of the Lances work as the City Watch and have a specific uniform to that such as the Gold Cloaks of King's Landing, just a thought.))
