((Malin's Gorge Village Charter

MC Name: Lego_XBOX

RP Name: Lord_Goroth_Klaren

The following will be in RP))

*A horseman bearing the banner of House Klaren rides into Malinore holding a large scroll. After dismounting he runs into the throne room within the elder tree of Normandor.*

"High Prince(ss), I, banner-man of House Klaren, deliver to thee this charter of a newly founded village in the Wilderness of the South-West in the name of Lord Goroth Klaren."

*After bowing he places the large scroll before her which reads;*

Village Name: Malin's Gorge

Why are you starting this village/settlement? What is its purpose?

I, Goroth, lord of House Klaren, am creating this village as a home for the Dark Elven race. This was the will of my father, Glaroth Klaren, first of the Klaren Family, before he disappeared. I have thus founded this village in his name with Malin as my witness.

The purpose of the village is to provide the abandoned race of the dark elves a home. Furthermore Malin's Gorge is where Klarens Hold lies.

What type of political system or leadership is within the village?

House Klaren leads the village with its own internal hierarchy. All the Klarens live within the Hold, main building in the gorge.

*Attached is a pamphlet depicting the Klaren Shield on the cover*

It may seem like an aristocratic government, which it is, but all residents are treated with the same respect and care.

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.)

The residents of Malin's Gorge will be principally made up of dark elves. Others of the Elven race are welcome to live in the village. Us Klarens will not permit any of the Orcish or Dwarven race approach the gorge. Humans are not a bother but will be most likely ignored by residents. Kharajhyr, is a race that has been abandoned, thus we are acceptive of them but do not treat them as highly as Elves.

Visitors must earn trust, which is difficult to obtain, before entering the Hold.

Where would you prefer the town’s region be? Including a screenshot of the land would be nice (of game or map).

The coordinates of the hold's gates are:

X :: -3061 Y :: 1690

*A sketch and two maps of the region are attached, one depicting the area, the other Asulon.*

Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc):

Architecture:

Being in a gorge, residents will live within the cliffside with part of the house protruding. The look is similar to Elven buildings, using redwood and planks as the main material.

Races:

As stated earlier, the main residents will be Elven, mostly dark elven. Visitors and temporary residents permitted are Humans and Kharajyr.

Culture:

The culture of the village is based on House Klaren's culture, which is partly induced from the Mori'Quessir. Mainly the psychology of the Mori is the one of the Klarens, nevertheless not to such an extreme extent because House Klaren is far more civilized. The reasons behind the induced mori culture is from the extensive studies on them by the family members who where interested in their ways of life. The rest of the culture is typically elven.

Furthermore, inhabitants are recommended to learn elven.

Lay-Out:

Lower middle part of the gorge is partly water in which the residents can fish. This area is also surrounded by agricultural areas of all types. The rest of the lower part is forested for lumber jacking. It is also the entrance to Klarens Hold. The cliffside will be where residents live.

Klarens Hold is a sort of town center. It contains the main administrative facilities and the barracks.

*A schema of the gorge is attached to the charter.*

Institutions:

There are various organizations within Malin's Gorge. House Klaren is the one they all revolve around. The Klaren Lord leads the village as the executive power and in serious cases as the judiciary power. Klaren House Knights constitute a council as the legislative power.

The town guard, named Hold Protectors, is led by the Klaren Banner-men. The actual guard are enlisted residents of the village.

*The banner-man then makes one last bow and walks out the main door, mounting his horse to return to Malin's Gorge. While outside another dark elf pins a poster up on the closest notice board.*

((Just some info, if you want it to be part of Malinor, this should go into Elven charters. And you will need to come to Normandor in person to speak about this, forum RP will not suffice.))

((I don't require being part of Malinor. If this charter is accepted I will certainly RP the request in-game. If I was really going to be part of Malinor, I would not have built the village in the wilderness.))

((I've always wondered when someone would get round to starting a Dark Elf town. This could actually fit into my character's search for his roots, if I hear about the town in RP that is. I wish you all the best and heartily support this charter))

((Well if that is the case, the only way your character would hear about the town is meeting a Klaren Banner-man... or possibly if I put up a notice in Malinore...))

If a GM or FM could move this to the Elven Charters to symbolize it as a request of annexation. Thank you~
