The Orcish Caravans

*Desert winds kick up in the Orcish city, displacing sand in a haphazard pattern. The sensation adds to the mystique of the city along with its cool night glow. Every star seems to stress itself as the most bright, all competing in a dazzling array of light.

Gorgul heartily chews on a cocoa-nut, grown hardily in the War Uzg. He thinks of his travel as a child across various nations and the War Nation's combination of unique unattainable goods and surplus commodities. Rising from a cross-legged position, he spits out the shell of the nut, before walking calmly across the vista. Thinking to the Jabbernaks slumbering, he figures a wise way to put them, and Orcs to use, is to set up Caravan Routes. As he summons a goblin assistant and speaks to him of the plan, the very next day the goblin outcries to his people*

"Bruddahz!

We am to do zum tradin wid our extra stuff. We hab too much uf sum skah, agh too little of udderz. Ef we take dah Jabbernakz, saddle dem up agh teach dem nub to eat oomies, den we kan bring hosh amountz of materialz, snaga, agh schematicz outside uf dah goi, into areaz to tradez mabe eben get more snaga agh materialz!

We am to set up a caravan ztation in dah goi, agh begin taming dah Jabbernakz. Once det is dun, we kan set up tripz. Blah wid me, ef latz wub tu go out agh peep if dez oomiez wub our stuff!"

*The Gobbo tacks up a notice on a log by the Rex Palace (written in common for ease of read ICly it is Orcish blah). He stands ready to cross out objectives when they are finished.*

Things to do before setting the first caravan

1) Set up Caravan station in Goi

2) Capture and tame Jabbernaks

3) Collect a stockpile of excess goods, slaves, potions, beasts, trinkets, war loot (some unique RP items would be great, post ideas below! You can sell things like hunted beast hides, or even original things like klomps or RP training.)

4) Set out on weekly/daily/whenever caravans.

OOC: I think a good idea to get some outside RP without resorting to raids is these caravans. After setting up a Caravan station in Strigzgoi, we will tame some jabbernaks and travel along major nations and roads in a small group, trading and peddling wares ranging from Orcish herbs + potions, slaves, war loot, extra commodities, or any other RP item, maybe even wild beasts and pets.

These caravans would be around 3-5 people, keep under the raid limit in case the caravan gets into trouble, but no VA should be necessary, this is something to do besides raiding which also gets non-Orcs involved in our RP.

Reply here how you feel about the idea. Once I get a few people eager and interested, we can begin working on the caravan station and RPly taming Jabbernaks to not eat humans and hold our stuff (we may lose some human limbs in the process). Just an idea I had and I think it would be fun.

( We don't have any legit active gobbos unfortunately...this means some Orcs may go. Might be more fun though, it'll be more interesting and while RPly I'd prefer gobbos to go I think OOCly everyone should do something fun like this once and a while )

(Well like I said we get 3 Uruks, and 2 Gobos if we dont have Gobos then lets make temp characters for the traders, and switch them around between all the orcs to share the fun?)

( That sounds good. Even non-uruks who we meet on the way who pay a tribute price or show honor can ride along the caravan with us, making the caravan bigger and bigger as we go along some of the nations/ cities. And then when the caravan ends at the goi, we may have more people than we came in with, which is better than say a raid where you come back with less, and only loot little RP. I'll probably play a gobbo when doing these caravans because the Rex wouldn't bother too much of his own time in such affairs. )

(( What's a caravan without a beast of burden? And there's no better beast of orcish burden than a jabbernak :P

Not really about the buisness than as much as the RP which could come of it, so I'm not concerned, people can yell about Jabbernaks but that's the fun RP out of it. )
