((OOC)) A Goblin Village

Is there any reason why it has to be its own entity, outside of Strigzgoi? We have a ton of space for sectors and villages in the current city.

Hm... I think we can do that. As long as it can be found easily and the residents don't have to search for their houses.

I don't agree with this at all. Put it in the city or don't do it. I refuse to spread out the RP even more then it already is, if it's not in the city it will be viewed as a threat and will be destroyed <3.

Don't build a damn city for a bunch of goblins. LIVE IN THE WAR UZG. RP with the orcs. Don't spread orcish RP by making a town that'll probably be abandoned in a month or two. Just live in the damn War Uzg. -_-

Why? There's no point to not doing it. It'd incorperate some more roleplay other than just ONE city.

Like already said. Build it in the city. Space should not become an issue. Like Austin said, if we saw a bunch of goblins we aren't familiar with just building a new settlement near/on our land we would just storm the area and demolish it. Orcs don't like random settlements all over their lands. This very reason caused a lot of (in-character) strife for us in Aegis because a lot of people would just come into the desert go "this is empty" then come back the next day to find their hut(s) in shambles. Every week, or multiple times a week we would just do clean sweeps of the desert, to keep it the way we like it.

The OOC point of not doing it means the orcs/playerbase are less spread out. By becoming part of the city you are bringing new RP directly into orc society, instead of building it away from orc society. The in-character reason is that we don't like random settlements all over our land. As I stated above we routinely lead bands of orcs to actually just go out into the Krugmar Desert and just purge the land of structures.

Also, if this is your thinking then you don't understand orcish culture at all. Orcs are not humans. We are not just different biologically, but culturally. There are very few reasons a Krugmar raised orc would want to start a new settlement in the desert. I am using the term orc for the entire race (remember goblins are a sub-race, they are still orcs). Orcs have always been about unity. We are not humans. Humans have the highest population, so they have cultural and economical reasons to want to expand and go off and create new settlements. Humans having lots of little settlements around their land is part of human culture. Orcs are not humans, they do not follow human culture. Orcs are about staying united as a nation and fighting force. That's why our government is more like a military chain of command. There is no good in-character reason I can think of as to why a Krugmar raised orc would want to start a new settlement.

Alright, fair enough. Still let me know if you need any help Nander :P

Gragarn hit the nail on the head.

Anyway, if you are to use the land in the Strigzgoi, send me a PM with your plans, and if its fleshed out, work can begin reforming the goblin districts of the city.

I would suggest working out some form of religion/magic for the gobbos. You cannot exactly use orc shamans, plus it would be nice to make it unique.

Well said. I shall build the village within the city. I think I may visit today to scout out the area. Also, can goblins ride jabernacks?

Wolf riding seems more suitable, though I would say yes, they can ride jabernacks.

Gobos might have trouble with some Jabbernaks but for the most part they should be fine. As for actual mounts, that is determined by an orc's clan.

-Gorkil ride Boars

-Lur ride Wolves (Grokks also ride Wolves due to their Lur heritage and are also more likely to have gobos among themselves.)

-Ugluk ride Bulls

Just to add lur wolfs are as big as a human if they reach mature age.

I believe wolfs sound "goblin" enough, unless you have another creature like spiders for them to ride.

Wolf is already taken by lurs though. And how does a hunter animal fiit with a bunch of crazy explosive makers?lol. And they dont need anything to ride as well, they can take jabbernacks like normal orcs

Well, isn't that the point of founding this village? To begin a more serious, cultural goblin race? I'm just tossing out ideas, wolfs could still be used. Plus I don't see how a clan can call dibs on a specific animal.
