Wheatley's Introduction

Hey, everyone. I'm Patrick. Yeah, in here, I'm Patrick, not Wheatley. I just want you to all finally meet me as a person, not someone you see on the forums, not an intrusive RPer, just...me. All of you know me as the guy who seems way to freaking calm all the time, and sometimes posts half-witty comments. In real life, I'm a possibly Asperger's afflicted, overweight, nearly silent, Star-Wars loving boy. I've been called a gentle giant (6 feet tall, 14 years old, and a pacifist), as well as some other things I'd rather not mention. I'm also very, very smart (at least, that's what my mommy says), and I take to math, science, all programming languages as well as actual languages like second nature. And you know what? I still get treated by most adults like I have the brain of a two-year old. Most of the ones who treat me like that are stupider than me, though, so I guess the joke's on them. One of the reasons I love LotC is I actually get treated like I have a brain. Some of my fondest memories are in Teamspeak, discussing philosophy and religion in a way I could never do with my heavily Catholic family.

As you all probably know by the way you scream "SPAAAAACE!" whenever I enter any thread ever, I love Portal and Portal 2. However, they are not my all-time favorite games. Ones I enjoy more include Psychonauts, Minecraft (obviously), Super Mario World, and Final Fantasy 6. Maybe not the last two over Portal 1, but Portal 2's singleplayer spent too much time having me look for the one freaking portal-able piece of wall in the entire room. Don't get me wrong, it's still a fantastic game, but...not my favorite.

Well, now that you know THAT much about me, time to explain how my interest in roleplaying started. When I was ages 5-10, my parents were so absolutely terrified of corrupting my developing mind, they only let me play games rated E for things such as Cartoon Violence, Mild Language, etc. So, I got very, very into things such as Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon. I loved the idea of being someone I wasn't, doing what they did and really getting immersed into it. Imagine both my joy and horror when I stumbled upon LotC. Joy, because I could finally express my interest, horror because if my father ever found out I did it, he would beat me with a ten-foot long pole with a shoe on the end. That was one year ago, and I haven't looked back.

Well, everyone, that's me. If you want to meet me in-game, currently I play Reggie Halfwood, a young halfling who loves fishing and floating along in his boat, as well as Andrew "Ender" Vincrute, forgotten young ex-prince of Holm. If you ever see me, say hello. I don't bite, and I'm not a horrible RPer. This has been a hello from Patrick/Wheatley/P-Mac. Thanks for reading.

We sound quite alike you and I (maybe not for the maths part though) and we both seem to have the same reasons for our interest in roleplaying. Nice to meet you Patrick, you can call me George ;D

Nice to meet you, Patrick.

It sounds like we have a lot in common, and it's a shame we haven't RP'ed together. I suspect that many of the males in LotC have some level of Asperger's, myself included.

Ya'll can call me Jack ;)

Don't feel bad, Patrick; All the boys have aspergers and all the girls have daddy problems!

I'm really into Star Wars, and totally wouldn't mind having a fanboy session with you.

You can call me Ben

ALSO: My autocorrect keeps changing aspergers to supergrass.
