Thoughts:

What were your thoughts on the temp server? From what I can gather...well I can't gather much. There are mixed feelings and emotions about this.

The main issues which I saw were Randoms and no rp killing [due to lack of whitelist], Nasty, un RP builds [due to lack of world guard] and lack of RP.

That being said, I heard a lot of people enjoyed the freedom. Being able to RP things not constraint to much lore as, most would RP it as a dream world anyway.

Feelings:

It was interesting. We saw undead attacks, things explode etc etc etc. What were your overall feelings?

Current Happenings:

Most of you will be aware we're [Alec is] trying to get the server back. It's a bit of a rocky road. There's going to be a lot of issues. People are already complaining about the lack of things not working. Be aware, Alec knows not much works right now. Wandering souls are visible and able to fly, I already banned one mistaking him for a hacker [sorry >.<] as well as plenty of other bugs [soulstones not working, fast travel not working, missing minas?].

It's going to be a little wait and, patience is needed. Let's not put our new coders under too much stress.

In the mean time, I encourage you to use the forums efficiently. Use them to maybe write up how your character reacts to the dream, or what ever you find as a viable reasoning for what just happened.

Just sit tight, you've all been really patient in your own ways already, a little more won't hurt.

Overall, i enjoyed the freedom. I enjoyed being able to pick apples on my own without filling out a damn application for a 20x20 plot of land.

Seriously, whats next? Fun application? An application in which you must fill out to have fun?

I liked the no regions. Allowed the players to progress the world. Look at Asulon, then to Aegis. The world progression in Aegis is by far more progressed than in Asulon where it's like when we first got there.

Peronaly I understand the feeling of wanting the temp map, currently I don't want it back, I love the current one. The only thing Iiked about the other map is being able to build and dig, that is one of the things I think we lack, I may be a dark elf, but damn it I love to mine!

Overall the temp server was quite fun, the undead attacks were amusing and appealing, we also build a few camps to let the time pass. So yes, was good enough for a moment.

EDIT: And totally agreed with skippy, no regioning is way better.

Personally I didn't take part in the /Dream Realm/. I heard there was a great deal of issues to be had between players and it created a bit too much chaos. Now I don't know this for a fact, but it's my two cents on what I heard. Still hope that the coders don't strain themselves and I for one, am happy to wait for the real thing.

I can completely understand the like for lack of regions, however, the temp map was no where near RP. It was a total and utter mess.

The reason we have the regions is to try and control the building and keep it looking RP. Not everybody is a great builder and, a lot of players build for survival and not for RP. Which is, unfortunately, not something we should be doing.

To build in RP should be to hire a good builder to build for you. Or live in an area where you have rights to build.

Personally I hate it. I didn't come to an RP server to do freebuilds. But like I said, personal feelings.

The "Dream Realm" was a nice break from the normal server. It united the races to fight as one to protect the world from undead. More events like it in the future would be very fun and enjoyable.

I absolutely enjoyed finding the other Orentines, organizing my town freely, and trying to develop a new society. I enjoyed it a lot. More then normally. I think it should start free for all, but, GMs would need to quickly world guard areas that develop into civilization.

We wouldn't need to build for survival as much if the mobs weren't speedy gonzales. :P
