The temp server was bad and anyone who thinks differently should feel bad. If you want that, join one of those 'Light RP servers', cause that's what that was.

Is the server up for real this time? Because there is a lot of problems. Fast travel wont work, neither will soulstones. Its just a big mess and no one is rping.

Woah woah, space. The temp server was better than the last few weeks of LOTC combined.

I can't speak for you, but for the people I have talked to they said it was alright. The RP was findable and as long as you weren't in the major population centre you weren't being pvp'ed every second. And really, thats what it was. Light RP, which was a lovely change from the hardcore lore intensive RP we have to deal with all of the time on the regular map with the regular plugins and permission base.

That's what makes LotC RP better then, say, Massivecraft, or those other light RP servers. We are extremely strict on EVERYTHING, which is waaaaaaay better then this 'Ok here is a big land now go do stuff kthxbai'. And, you must of been in the wrong places in those last few weeks of LotC.

However the lightness of the temp server is what made it fun.. Sometimes the hardcore'ness of the server can get a little boring with how strict it is. Don't get me wrong, I like the rules, it stops mindless stupidity but it is nice to have a little freedom for once instead of having numerous apps and time to wait to create a house or a small fort to survive in.

I like the regular server, but saying anyone who thought the temp was good should feel bad is just the wrong way to act if I'm honest.

What got me irked was that I never got to finish Kyral's nightmare... Maybe we should go back until all the plugins are done. I really hate leaving rp undone.

For anyone who wants to see the skin.

I totally agree with lrinya, the temp map was a mess.

I thought it was really fun. There is a reason it was a huge mess, no initial organization. We heard nothing from the staff and all of the sudden a server with a blank map was up. That caused the random crazy builds, but when Danny posted that everyone still needed to follow normal rules, everything was fixed.

That server was so fun because it reminded us of Aegis. Instead of having to apply for a battle to happen, you could go next door and challenge your neighbor. The undead were randomly striking (good to see them back) and causing general havoc.

What I wanted to do was start a King's Road type world on the temp server to organize the RP while we had it, but frankly I was short on time. By the end of the time on their though, the server was looking rather nice and it had a player feel to it.

'T was a nice fresh world to test my new character in... so I'm satisfied.

What I find most frustrating is the banning going on when it was incredibly unclear that it was meant to be a "Dream World" which we RP'ed in, rather than a "do whatever you want" world. Eventually, there was a point where it was pretty clear, but then GM's started abusing their powers, spawning way more mobs by the undead fort than the server could handle, spawning them far away from the fort than would make any sense, and started randomly blowing people up, and eventually giving out godmode.

It seems a little silly to me that these GM's are (I presume) not being held accountable for their actions, yet those who broke rules are getting banned from our actual server as well as the dream world.

I'm not advocating for us to punish the GM's who abused their powers, but instead trying to say all penalties faced from this world should be wiped clean, due to the fact that clearly some of the GM's didn't take this seriously, and also that it was incredibly unclear that this was meant to be an RP world for a majority of the time.

That being said, I believe this could be a really fun idea if more preparation had been made beforehand.

It was messy, but it was fun, but Asulon is overall much, much better. I'm RP'ing it as a waking nightmare (as in I was still conscious while sleeping). Brought back the fun of undead attacks too, also a bonus.

I actually had some fun. At first it was just a whole bunch of no-rp attacks on me, but then when the Undead fort came up, I actually had some good RP. (We were trying to cook pigmen in the fire pit, xD) I also enjoyed the freedom, and there were constant things going on. Question, are you going to take advantage of the Undead coming back, and make them come back in the real world?

Not having everything regioned was a nice change. On another note, is the actual auslon map up or is it temporary? Don't want to finish my cathedral and next day its gone because you got the real map up. Right now the Auslon map is up, just wondering if it's staying till 3.0 .

I really loved it, the freedom was nice and the undead attacks? WOW. Only problems were the no rp killing and some people stole. Other than that I wish that it was its own server, I had a really nice town and some unique R going on there.
