I enjoyed playing as an Undead, even if it was only for a short while. The RP I had with Lym, Dalek, Roze, Vardak, Brevias and everyone who came to attack us was awesome! I hope you guys enjoyed the Undead event as much as I did, and had a lot of fun doing it, I sure did.

Loved it. Had a great ol' time - finding a group of like minded people, trying to build a boat to escape the crazy undead witch lands by sea. Was a whole lotta fun, especially after the no RPers started to get cleared out and the dust started to settle.

Saw pirate boat owned by Lime. Saw some nice stuff.

Actually, I was just the first mate. T'was Owl's boat. ;)

Actually I enjoyed it. Not something I would want to keep either, but it was fun. I LOVED the events that happened. And I think the event team deserves a good thank you for the events, because they were awesome.

We didn't have all that much to do with it, actually. Thank the Undead guys. They did all of their own events, evil looking churches, and all that good stuff.

I got somewhat freaked out a bit by the wailing, echoing across the land (Not too sure about Merkel), had some good RP in the jungle with some people (Baconthief and others) and I reckon the temp server was pretty fun to go on altogether and it provides some good RP practice with others! This just goes to show that LotC's RP can be great even without the use of plug-ins or lore :3

The fun I had:

Over 9000.

Any time again

Seriously though, it was the only reason I logged in on LoTC and I finally was able to have some fun again.

On a serious note, it's been amazingly fun for me. The only reason I ever joined LotC was for a single goal - To join the Undead or Ascended. I was classily blacklisted from the Undead, which still makes me giggle when I think about it, so I ended up joining the Ascended. I would totally play my Ascended character, but I don't have the skin. Do any ex-Ascended have the Robes of Okonkwo skin? I miss my green trim.

I saw plenty of mess. Huge structures in the trees, cobblestone forts, cubes made from planks. Things you see in survival, not RP.

Maybe RP is about survival, rather than being unable to place a boat on water or pick an apple from a tree due to a magical force field. But yes, I firmly believe survival is a key element in RP, much more can come from shoddily building a cobblestone fort to protect yourself from the wilds than just not being able to build on entirely.

I enjoyed the temp server. It was fun, random, chaotic, and a good break from the restrictions and super seriousness of the normal server. It was a good opportunity to play fun old minecraft again with friends, not the super serious life simulator that the server often becomes.

I like the temp map more than asulon at the moment because I can wonder around and find rp in a matter of moments. I like how there was freedom in reigoning but I woundn't mind seeing areas reigoned to stop people messing up the world. I like the fact that there was events that everyone could pitch in on in some way. I liked how the map was smaller (glad this is going to be apparent in 3.0) . What I didn't like was the lack of reinforcement of rp rules near the beginning but then I saw something happen to the server that mimics real life society.

Give anarchy to the people, all goes to chaos for a while. But sooner or later people will settle down and make their own rules and societies to reinstate order by itself. I saw this happen on the server which was a little moving to watch and I enjoyed it quite a bit.

I would like to see more regions though to stop people from just stealing and braking other peoples things at will and maybe perhaps wholesale regions for the map segments that people must earn the trust of the leaders of said land in order to gain rights to disturb the landscape there (what I would like to see in 3.0). It is true however that some people just cant be trusted with ultimate freedom as they will abuse it which is why I suggest the system above.

I liked the undead events a bit, though to say that there wasn't much resources available to them in order to fully run these events without considerate amounts of gm help which has been an underlying problem of the undead since the times of aegis that they were restricted too much.

All in all I like the temp map. More so than I would ever love asulon on the simple fact that while asulon looks pretty (which is good), it is unforgiving in the rp sect, which in the end is the only key point that matters.

Edit: urgh I hate my iPod...

For me, I actually had some of the best RP I've had in months on the temporary server. Going all from being kidnapped by Undead to sitting out of Hell's Gate and watching Rilath and Archmage Bell (TehLulu) wreck one another in one of the best displays of a magic RP I've ever witnessed on the server. Even though there was quite a large gapping hole of full blown lore, I was honestly impressed at how the players progressed with it all and added more of their own lore and IC theories behind how we entering the whole 'Dream World' as well as how to exit it. The temporary server was definitely a smart choice. Almost a bit saddened Asulon was set back up. I was honestly enjoy the temp at one point over the main world.

Honest I enjoyed the temp map more than I have Azulon for the past few weeks.

I found one of my characters old friends, Kayne and we survived out in his fort for the remainder, sheltering from RP snow storms and building a nice little home for ourselves underground.

We steered clear of the main RP'ing centre as we knew that alot of No-Rp killing was happening but we still found ourselves being visited by numerous characters looking for either shelter of food. Even one or two bandits on occasions which we had to fight off. We even found ourselves being affected by the main events due to the roaring coming from just north of our position, which brought a new light to the RP we were having.

Overall a very fun night for myself and I hope that these happen more often, as unlikely as it may be.

((This is not me saying lets break the server more often, this is me saying I would like to see more of these small little vanilla worlds held up, possibly on the alternate server? Just a thought :P))

I enjoyed the no regions, but i agree with the role-play building as well.

BUT, some forests with NOTHING in them are permed, we need a smaller regioned area, similar to the temp map.

Oh and the events were fun, the only reason i didnt play was because i lost my diamond armor and rage-quitted.

couldn't the dreamworld stay up for sometime longer, untill everything is fixed like the economy, fasttravel and soulstone ? Because now it doesn't have any purpose to play in asulon... as you most likely can't travel to your homes, also, do we remember the dream world, otherwise it is quite a waste because i had some of the best rp in weeks there :)
