The below is the official document concerning the military reformation of Salvus as instituted by Prince Lancel Hightower and Lord Treasurer of Salvus Abdul Mubdee.

Salvus Military Reformation

The Salvus Military Reformation is the full abatement of the Gladiant military force and the institution of the Shields of Salvus military force in Salvus.

Full Abatement

The Gladiant military force has been proved a complete failure in the Kingdom of Salvus and is hereby eradicated.

The remaining soldiers in the Gladiant military force may no longer exercise authority over the common man in Salvus.

The remaining soldiers in the Gladiant military force will no longer be paid for their service.

The remaining soldiers in the Gladiant military force will no longer receive food and other welfare supplies from the Salvus Government.

The remaining soldiers in the Gladiant military force will no longer be provided with armor and other form of weaponry by the Salvus Government.

Transference of Service

Former Gladiants have the option to transfer into the Shields of Salvus.

Gladiant ranks will not transfer over, but rank placement in the Shields of Salvus will be based on merit, service and skill.

Institution of the Shields of Salvus

The Salvus Military Reformation declares the institution of the Shields of Salvus.

The Shields of Salvus are given the power to and required to combat all enemies of Salvus, foreign and domestic.

The Shields of Salvus are given the power to and required to withhold and enforce all Salvus laws.

The Shields of Salvus are required to declare full loyalty to the Kingdom of Salvus upon recruitment.

Ranking System

The ranking system of the Shields of Salvus is comprised of three ranks; Constable, Footman and Initiate.

Promotions in the Shields of Salvus are based off of merit, training and service.

Three constables are appointed by the Prince and Lords.

Each constable is given one of three specific tasks; recruitment, training and defense.

Constables fall under leadership of the Prince and Lords.

Footmen fall under leadership of the constables.

Initiates fall under leadership of the constables and in cases where the constables are not present, the footmen.

Insubordination and Military Violations

Insubordination is the act of willfully disobeying authority.

Insubordination is acceptable only when orders are given that overstep the authority limitations of the Shields of Salvus.

Insubordination is penalized by a pay and work suspension of one elven week.

If a Shield of Salvus is found guilty of two counts insubordination, the Shield of Salvus will be discharged from the Shields of Salvus and will no longer be able to serve.

In the incident of a Shield of Salvus overstepping his or her authority a court of the Lords and the Prince will be held to discuss the punishment of the Shield of Salvus.

In the incident of a Shield of Salvus committing treason a court of the Lords and the Prince will be held to discuss the punishment of the Shield of Salvus.

In the incident of a Shield of Salvus disobeying Salvus law a court of the Lords and the Prince will be held to discuss the punishment of the Shield of Salvus.

Military Pay

The Shields of Salvus will be paid for their military service every elven week.

Constables will be payed 250 emeralds or 10 iron every elven week.

Footmen will be payed 200 emeralds or 8 iron every elven week.

Initiates will be payed 150 emeralds or 6 iron every elven week.

Shields of Salvus found not upholding their duties will not receive pay.

This concludes the Salvus Military Reformation. This reformation is subject to change.

Declaration of War Times

The Declaration of War Times is an amendment to the Salvus Military Reformation, by order of Prince Lancel Hightower and Lord Treasurer Abdul Mubdee, that details the standards and procedures the Salvus Government takes in order to declare Times of War and act in Times of War.

War Times

War Times is the preparation for a war, the fighting of a war and the rehabilitation of the State of Salvus after a war.

War Times can only be declared if there is knowledge of an intending strike on Salvus, Salvus intends a strike for Appropriate Reasoning, or a major law or edict must be executed.

War

War may only be declared after during War Times.

War may only be declared when War Times has escalated to a point that there is no other diplomatic option and all negotiations have been exhausted.

Declaration of War Times and War

War Times can only be declared by the Prince and the Lords.

War can only be declared by the Prince, Lords and Constables.

Appropriate Reasoning

Appropriate Reasoning is the reasoning given for declaring War Times and going to War in order to attack a nation.

Appropriate Reasoning is attacking an opposing force in response to a recent attack or a reclamation of lost lands.

Appropriate Reasoning can be amended when agreed upon by the Prince, Lords and Constables.

Civilian Inclusion

In War Times and in War, civilians whom ask to be armed may be given weapons in armor in return for the defense of Salvus.

Allied Inclusion

In War Times and in war, allies whom ask to be armed may be given weapons and armor in return for the defense of Salvus.

Military Operations

Government officials are classified as Lords, Princes, Queens and Lords.

In War Times and in War, alliances and allies must and can only be declared by the Prince and Lords.

In War Times and in War, Shields are to arm themselves as a their appropriate soldier specification, Footman, Sword and Shield, Ironshield, or Bowman.

In War Times and in War, Shields are to act immediately upon the whim of their commanding officers and Constables.

In War Times and in War, Constables can order Shields to execute major movements without the approval of the Prince and Lords.

In War Times and in War, the gates of Solace must be shut at all times and only opened for allies and civilians seeking refuge.

In War Times and in War, only allies may wear armor and carry weapons within Solace walls.

In War Times and in War, armor must be removed by all people, exempting allies, attempting to enter the city the city must remove their armor.

In War Times and in War, in the incident of a failure of leadership of government officials, government officials may be removed by order of the Constables.
