The Dark Mistress repels herself down using rope right in front of the basket as she grabs it, making a bolt for it as citizens make their way into the city, Pushing them aside as she takes her leave. Anyone who sees her would only see a shrouded figure in purple robes

Areon stands after some time, a mysterious, strong gust having passed around the branches where he sits. Seeing that he is not riddled with arrows, and no one has fallen from the branches, he sighs. He looks over to the basket, or more specifically, where the basket was...

The Dark Mistress silently waits inside the Caverns of Karik, hidden by the stone as she awaits the reaction of the Dwarves to the snakes. The basket that was in Normandor now back home, being tended to. She waits, hoping a person comes to the Noticeboard soon.

Sarien stares at the scene, frowning a bit as she passes the Solace mark, climbing her way to a near by vantage point above the walls, darkness concealing her presence as she watches for any sign of disturbance near the sign. Sarien whispers a name lightly under her breath as she crouches atop the walls "Shadiss..." She almost hisses.

Pastor Aerin heads towards the cathedral in Arethor and hears some hissing coming from near the notice board. He mutters as walks over to the basket of snakes:

"What is that noise? And, what are all of those purple snakes there for?"

As Aerin looks over the basket his eyes widen as multiple snakes slither in the basket and mutters:

"Is this some kind of sick joke?"

As Aerin is about to turn away he notices a small piece of parchment inside the basket and says to himself:

"That's interesting?"

Aerin walks away from Arethor towards the Cleric fort and thinks to himself that he is going to regret this.

~An Hour Later~ Aerin walks through the city gates while wearing rusting iron gauntlets with the faint symbol of House Tarus engraved on them. He walks towards the snake basket and says to himself:

"This is a really bad idea..."

Aerin looks under his gauntlets and thinks to himself: "Snakes can't bite through plate, chain, and leather; I have to find out what this snake business is all about."

Aerin wraps some more leather around his arms just to be sure... Then, he starts moving the snakes away from the paper with the wooden hoe, keeping distance between himself and the snakes.

After Aerin gets the snakes away from the piece of paper, he plunges his hand into the basket and takes the note. He drops the wooden hoe on the basket of snakes and steps back a few feet. Aerin begins to read this mysterious note hoping to find out more about these snakes.

((If somebody can pm me the note, that would be awesome.))

Bael walks along the roads of Kal'Karik and ventures across a noticeboard he never knew existed. Hearing King Hiebe's request and for a short time forgetting he is no longer the Guard captain, rolls his eyes and follows the kings request.

"Anuvver 'eretic. Nae tuday."

Standing several meters away, Bael draws his 'firethrower' and launches a burning tar-soaked bolt into the nest of vipers, before proceeding to tear the note down and add it to the fire.

Fukuhara Takao stands and watches from afar as Bael burns the basket. Slowly stroking his mustache.

"These peeple udd."

Merely dismisses the entire scene altogether and continues on his search for Blacksmiths and Enginners within Karik.

A woman with brown hair and blue eyes in a fancy blue dress sits on the fountains edge. She watches the proceedings with the basket with a slight grin. She knows that there's nothing on the paper, as the man would soon find out. She continues to watch and sit there, waiting for the mans next move...

Sariant Jonathan Black sees Aerin as he's walking through Arethor; he approaches him, observing his actions.

"What's going on he- Are those SNAKES?!" He almost yells, jumping back a bit.

EDIT: Didn't realize Tornadowatch posted will fix :P

Aerin stares blankly at the blank paper for a few moments realizing he risked his life for nothing. Aerin shakes his head as the Sariant yells. Then he says to the Sariant:

"Aye... Strange times."

He takes out a piece of charcoal and scribbles on the note:

"Meet me at the stables when it gets dark."

Aerin turns to the Sariant and says,

"I've been investigating into this, want to help?"

Aerin mutters as he drops the note into the basket:

"I will get to the bottom of this."

Jonathan nods slowly. "Certainly, although I don't understand for the life of me why someone would place a basket of snakes in Arethor. Rather pointless... But yes, I'll help."

Jonathan is fully armored at the moment, besides his head; he wears a Teutonic Order tabard, clearly showing his affiliation. He himself appears to be a younger human male with a pale complexion and black hair which has been recently shaved into a military crew cut. He carries a fine steel sword at his side along with a canteen of water, a sack of food, and a bow along with arrows.

"So, you just found this basket? Anything on that note? I'm asking because there is no way I'm diving my hand in there."

Aerin is wearing gray cleric robes with his hood up, and he says to the Sariant slowly:

"Aye, just the basket. There was nothing on the note; but I wrote a message on it incase if whoever put it there wants to check up on this stunt."

Aerin looks at the sunset in the distance and says to the Sariant:

"I wrote on the message that whoever did this should meet me at the stables at dark. Our best bet is to wait there."

He starts walking towards the gatehouse and says:

"If you want to help you'll wait with me there."
