*Kalenz remarks nonchalantly*

"The former objective you mentioned would be ideal. However, the latter would suffice. If not all the mali... Perhaps just the mali'aheral."

*Kalenz chuckles lightly again*

"That being said, sometimes the seemingly impractical is delightfully fitting."

*shakes his head a little as if to say "What a fool. . ."*

"Truly this matters more than it seems you make it. If the nation should fall under the hold of Oren, the world will be changed and the balance of power that has been slowly losing its way will fully and completely tilt and end in pain, suffering, and control. . ."

*Kalenz falls silent for a few minutes allowing others to speak. A sly grin crosses his face. He mutters almost inaudibly once.*

"Uninformed."

A Half Elven man with black hair not looking as if it was truely his color sits on a log few paces away from the cloaked man speaking. His hood down a silver dagger in hand chipping away at a peaice of wood listening through Bordem. He sighs at the man looking at him grunting

"Oren Dis....Oren Dat....War..War..War.... Can ye continue to whine and bable about oren? Malinor is at stake here not Oren, if they are willing to call off any hostile acts if the feckin' council make up for it then why not take em? The Empire never bothered us before until a group of Military men bothered them. Why not let the valah get some of thier way and not just find ways to counter and end things with peace? Like true elfs and not speak of war and such. We are elf are we not? Back in Aegis we where a peaceful folk who only fought if we were disturbed just like what Oren is doin'. So if they put one of thier pawns on top, find ways to weaken that pawn. Now before this man bable on about Oren were where we?"

He looks up his pale eyes scanning the crowd to see if anyone remebers.

*Kalenz's eyes widen in horror as the man speaks. He visibly winces after each slur, even going so far as to shudder slightly upon the tterance of 'feckin''.*

Ante'vuln shudders. Lost again, by Larihei--maps are useless, and even moreso in the dark. She's been wandering about for hours, the stars obscured by the greenery above. Without even a Northern light to guide her, she sighs, making to set down and wait for morning.

But in the distance, a fire glows. Ante'vuln turns to the sight of smoke, unmistakable as it rises above the trees. Walking in the direction of the fire, her palm tightens around a small blade upon her hip. However, Kalenz is a familiar face. Her grip loosens as she approaches those gathered, her eyes flicking amongst the elves and reflecting bits of light in the dusk. They murmur lowly, hardly noticing her--but she catches a few pieces of the conversation. Her brow lifts in response, and she makes a bow in greeting as a sedge way into an interruption.

"Hide us? I would think there were a much more prudent opportunity here."

Ante'vuln flicks the hem of her cloak with her shoe, looking down for a moment at the strange runes in the dust. Presently, her chin draws upward, and she speaks in a plain, lofty tone.

"Unless a coward's route is truly the operative, it would seem that Malinor needs allies. The Mali'aheral count, do they not?" she allows the ghost of a smile to play upon her lips, "Therefore, it would also seem that we do not have to live as fugitives at all."

*Looking at Kalenz and the first newcomer.*

"If you truly think that peace is possible than by all means take it. I see no reason why you should not take peace if offered. . . however I do not believe that any peace offered by the Humani Empire will not come with strings attached, but if you truly believe that what I speak is not for the good of the Nation as a whole than ignore me, I am here to advise, not to order nor lead."

*Looks to the other newcomer.*

"Veritas, veritas, that is true. . ."

Elorna looks up at the black haired man, expression a mix of a confusion and shock. "Did you just say we should let them get their way!? Sir, we have other options that involve neither going to war nor surrendering outright."

*Kalenz turns to Ante'vuln, clearly surprised by her sudden appearance.*

"Does Malinor need allies llir? Indeed. That being said, it was perfectly capable of handling itself when Mr. Sullas and I discouraged their alliance with the Bortu. Would it not follow they are capable of handling themselves now?"

*Kalenz exclaims sarcastically*

"Surely they will stand by their principles!

*He continues.*

They have disturbed our safety within Haelun'or, surely they should be held to the responsibility of rectifying such a problem. Else they be held to the concept that they owe us an entire city."

Rolls his eyes at the elven women the black haired half elf looking at her

"Did you hear what I said? If we do find ways to cut thier pawns power so they THINK they have power when they do not, but if we just amend the wrongs that were made they would have no reasons to attack, then if they do attack our allies would surely come to aid and not listen to reasons why they should not help if we did somthin' wrong, Yes?"

He looks at her shrugging

"I personally think if a battle can be avoided then avoid it is what the elven kind did in Aegis but sadly...none of you are form that time period it seems and it seems even less remember the values of our people from that period that were set by Malin. But eh, If you all think the Elven kind should be some war mongering nation like the orcs go be so, or do what we did in the past and be a master of politics and decpetion. Either way I'll be livin' by myself watchin' everythin' change for good or worst"

"Sir that age died when the Undead invaded the peaceful nation and slaughtered the people of Malinor wholesale. Truly now is the time where any nation peaceful or not has a need of defenses or risks losing everything they hold dear including their freedom."

*Drinks from his flask*

"Suggesting such political deception however would work, if the Humani do not want more than you think, but if they are the greedy nation that they are whose to say they won't want more and more control as time goes on?"

Stifles a laugh as he listens to the man

"You know nothin' of history do you..? Yes the undead deafeted Malinor, but first they took out the Humans, and Dwarfs, and the Humans..AGAIN. not our fault we did not prepare cause so many traitors were around and the miltiary was redone....seven? six times? Eh... but either way even though they did destroy major parts of Malinor they left somthin' important that let us take the fight to the undead and break em as they broke Aegis, and led us here. If that is weak being part of a nation that help let the dwarf who destroyed what ever he did to send the undead back then I guess all nations are weak?"

He shrugs sheathing the dagger in a sheath on his leg grabbing his grey bandanna smacking it off his knees water coming off as he mumbles

"Damned snow...less jobs in the south for now on..."

*Kalenz once again shudders as the elf speaks.*

((Jroy's Elf))

Shrugs as he takes a glance at the shuddering elf

[[Gotta love mixbloods w/ mixed cultures :3]]

"Yet unlike the Undead the Humani have not the power of the daemon, they are not able to resurrect themselves and bring forth armies of death, they can be killed, and they can be defeated. Why should the nation let the Humani take control little by little until there is nothing left at all when they can resist and fight?"

*Kalenz turns, finally fed up with the half-elf. He snaps:*

"What are you tali'mali? Elf or mentally impaired valah mongrel?"
