First, the appropriate music::

Alright, I am recovered from my cold and strept throat, and I am pleased to announce the next Bi-Weekly contest, only a week late!~

Announcing~~~~~~~~THE SHIP BUILD CONTEST!

Contest Begins: Today, Sunday November 25th, right now.

Contest Entry Period Ends: Saturday, December 7th, at Midnight EST (Eastern Standard Time).

Judging will run from Saturday, December 8th through Tuesday, December 11th, with a winner being announced by Tuesday afternoon, sooner if the judging takes less time.

Here are the rules and guidelines::

1. Build a ship. Make a transport ship, a galleon, a warship, a shipwreck, whatever, or all of them! Your best ship in our opinion will be the one used to compare you to the other entries. ::

-You are encouraged to keep the theme to the current races of LotC, race style, loreset, etc. Build the ship however you like, and make it look incredible.

2. The ships, and all decoration/redstone device wiring/etc (if there is any), must be contained in an area no larger than 200x200 blocks (you may go as high or as low as you like within that area.)

3. Make the ships realistic, not some super-huge monstrosity that would realistically sink under it's own weight.

4. You must create a CSP world (creative single player), you may use a normal map, a flat world map, whatever you like.

5. Use creative mode, please, it's a huge timesaver and there's no need to worry about wasting your contest time gathering resources.

6. You may work together on a contest entry if you like, but the prize will NOT be doubled, so you'll have to find a way to split it. I encourage solo projects.

7. Once you have completed your build, compress the save into a .ZIP or .RAR file and upload it to a file storage site (there are plenty of free ones, I use http://www.filedropper.com/ myself) and copy the link here with the following entry layout::

To be clear: you need to build a new ship we can actually USE, we need the save file. Your siggy'd ship doesn't count.

And yes, anyone can enter, doesn't matter if you've won something before.

Ship Name: Emerald Creeper

Forgot access to lowest level and descriptive sign, updated now.

Description: A 34 gun four mast ship with both forward and aft cannons. Mess hall, captains quarters, gunpowder storage rooms and armory. Berths for 90 crew members including 12 officer bunks, 34 gunnery crew bunks, and 44 general crew bunks. Includes twin anchors at the bow of the ship, along with all lights being redstone lanterns to allow for night running with or without lights depending and to prevent fires. Is rigged with a total of 11 sails and three crows nests. A total of 81 blocks long, 15 blocks wide, and 65 blocks tall. Block count is.....hell if I know.

When you look at it anvils are representative of either tie downs for wool or the anchor wheel for the two anchors.

And if you want to incorporate anything you see into your own build, feel free to. After all doing so only means we will get the best result possible when all is said and done.

Decided to post a screen shot what with the competition almost over.

Description: She is a fine 3-deck Galleon with the main purpose of cargo transport. She can accommodate 120 crew (64 bunks, two shifts), 8 officers and the captain for a total of 129 crew when she's fully maned. The captain's cabin is very luxurious including; a king sized bed, a desk, a captains log and several other creature comforts. She comes with a locked armory that only the captain and officers have keys to. She boasts three masts with six perpendicular sails along with three sails to aid in maneuvering. When the crew finds themselves hungry they can stop in at the galley for some food and ale from the casks stored away on the ship. In the head surgeons office, crew can be patched up from battles or mishaps. Her cargo capacity is 750 tonnes, cargo going on the lowest deck. The brig houses three cells for the occasional mutinous sailor or any other people needing to be locked up tight where they won't cause any damage. Finally, she carries two anchors one on the port side the other on the starboard.
