Shift, people ARE scared of saying what's on their mind at being ridiculed by the admins, GMs, etc. However, that is not to say that I dislike the admins, GMs, etc. The vast majority have done their jobs and done their jobs damn well. But I do have to agree, it seems like you and a lot of other GM's and FM's and Admins don't truly listen to our ideas. When someone does respond to an idea, and said person is an admin, generally it feels like something that's been copy and pasted to make people feel warm and fuzzy and make them feel like they're being listened to, when truly, no admins really care. As I said, this is how I feel, and I have no proof to back this up, so I will not say it is a flat out fact. I don't know any of the new staff members in the OP, so I simply refuse to go off of "This is what I heard" when I have no facts or have seen this to have this back up. Not to mention, I do not personally know any of these three people to judge them. I wouldn't want someone who knew me by what people told them. That wouldn't be fair. So I refuse to say "They're horrible!" because I don't know either of them (Though I do wish them the best of luck ;) ) I don't know about anyone else, but I, as a regular member of the server, not a GM, not a FM, not an Admin, has absolutely NO SAY in major events. If i'm not an admin, I can't write groundbreaking lore. If i'm not a GM, I can't make a main antagonist. As I've said this was NOT meant to bash the staff, or be melicious, or anything. I love the majority of the staff. And i'm not saying that because i'm afraid of them. I say that because the majority seem to be nice and friendly, but sadly, it feels like only one or two staff have really "heard me out". Zebanamana 410 Share Posted November 26, 2012 Do what is fun is a good philosophy. This server forgot what fun is. The GMs and Admins forgot what fun is, the players completely forgot what fun is. This server's fun level is being sapped. I don't personally care that Dusk is Admin, I've heard things that suggests she should not even be a GM, but I've never been effected so I hardly care. Braxis is a nice guy, Rhia is someone I never heard of and frankly I could not care less that she became a GM because it does not effect me in the slightest. Just have fun. That's what I do and it has worked for over a year while mostly in one of those stressful leadership positions. If you are not having fun leave, because you are spoiling others fun 9 times out of 10. Wolf Druid Ouity 1461 Share Posted November 26, 2012 We have voiced our opinion more than enough already, the decision of Serenityonyx becoming an Admin is simply laughable, and the fact that Tyrion stepped down on his own accord is a lie, people lack the motivation to continue contributing to LoTC including myself which is why I retracted my GM application in the first place, there have been countless of threads adressing the issues at hand but have been ignored as a whole. Everyday I hope for change and keep returning daily to this website to check up on the community and recent additions, although all I encounter is utter dissapointment. I hope you can read this, Shift, and take it to heart ;) The guy who made the Kha lore was just an average Joe, and it became the first race (outside the Mori, who are in essence dark elves) created by a player, and only one of two new races to be introduced to the server besides the origional four. Druidism started with Respiren just chilling in a shack in the woods, with some daft old elf telling stories of an ancient order to interested onlookers. The anal gauge of this server is set to 11, people are so up tight it is painful. Every single one of you needs to sit down or go outside, let off a little stress, breath deeply, watch a good movie, or watch a terrible one. Maybe go for a jog, or play tennis. Drink some coffee, stop playing for a week. You didn't see all the statuses about "Nepotism" I take it? Outside is good, fresh air might let you take your mind off of whatever it is you're upset about.If that doesn't work, you can always go out for a drink, preferably Scottish or Irish :) .
