Wavejammers 328 Share Posted November 29, 2012 You could just farm at the sea..., just put some dirt there and BAM! a farm. so then it would be:farms=food=No starvation= Happy people= RP= no random PVP= Staying online= positive feedback= happy GM's:Dplus the power of teamwork and staying with other people is a good solution for survival It's hard to get food when you kill me for a danm chicken and ban me from your inn just because of some chickens. Hobolympic 1093 Share Posted November 29, 2012 Oh and another thing: I don't like everything being prebuilt in lotc 3.0...it does lower the fun alot. Would be way more enjoyable if the people would organize themself instead of having everything preset. Chaos makes the world interesting. I prefer taking a look at a painting then one of those barcodes at the supermarket. Cheers We tried that in Asulon, and to me it did not seem to work out well at all. Not everything is going to be prebuilt, only the capitals and a few key locations. The rest is up to the players. This way, we will also have better quality builds, which I think is a key factor in getting a decent 'income' of new players.

Wolf Druid Ouity 1461 Share Posted November 29, 2012 Less QQ more pew pew. I've died 11 times since this map started. I counted. I don't care, there are people to roleplay with. I haven't even played Ouity the whole time. It's a fun and new way to bring the entire community close to each other and we should all just enjoy the fact that it's up in the first place. If we put in present day... well, why would we all be there? There's no lore for our departure as of yet. It would be mass confusion, everyone would think we'd left for a different reason. Phelrin 60 Share Posted November 29, 2012 The only complaint I have with the new map is that I didn't know where the Dwarven settlement was to begin with. Besides that, I love the temp map. I find it funny that in the timeline, the Undead were just distroyed and we now are getting lightning storms worst than the Undead attacking Al'Khazar
Gunner 775 Share Posted November 30, 2012 I like it.. But the aggressive mobs are a pain in the butt.. Lower them down and we'll all be happy.
-♣- Ƙindled -♣- 203 Share Posted November 30, 2012 I'd say i like it abit, well i like how the wolrd looks and all, but what i don't like: I mean the new players (that perhaps played like 3 months like me) will have a hard time with the aegis roleplay.. if you know what i mean. Sorry if my grammar is bad..
-The Doctor- 65 Share Posted November 30, 2012 I loved rping on the temp map. I played a much younger version of my char, which was extremely nostalgic, seeing as he wasn't all insane at the time. As for people complaining about food, I don't know why. You could make a wheat farm in mear moments. All you have to do is wait. And for the regions, I found many unregioned areas close to spawn. Merkaken 516 Share Posted November 30, 2012 The new map is seriously growing on me. There's just one problem, however. People seem to think since this is a temp map, they're free to do whatever they want... I.E, strip mine, steal items with no VA (Or RP, for that matter...), etc. Nothing that the staff did wrong, though. Just the player base... (Some of the player base, I should say.) Acornlad 206 Share Posted November 30, 2012 Too small. As it is temporary, there is nothing that can be pursued. The roleplay is dry and unappealing.
Evilbanana5757 154 Share Posted November 30, 2012 For me, it would have been much better if this wasn't connected to Aegis in anyway, because right now everyone is just assuming the roles they had before, but I am a complete stranger to all of them. So it'll be twice as hard and take twice as much effort and time, which I don't really have (I hear its all going to be over in around a week?)... Oh, and can there be a middle option for the poll? I am really in the middle about this at the moment.
Yoff 328 Share Posted November 30, 2012 I would like it but since it is in the past I cannot play my characters made in Asulon... which is quite the issue. I also dislike how people from Aegis can come back. Personally I felt this should have been more along the lines of our trip to 3.0. Especially since we literally RP'd the whole trip to Asulon while on the ships... this kind of didn't happen. I guess if it fits, wear it, but to me it shouldn't be a past thing. Agreed. I had made a topic before, but I guess no one really cared too much about it. Had to do with the transition into 2.5 being us in ships travelling to the lands of 2.5.
