And denying a character power based on a player's OOC staff position would also be bringing OOC into RP. If you challenge a nation leader in-game, I am assuming it's for in-character reasons. War claims with no basis and obvious OOC motives are often denied anyway. Most of these players whining about GM nation leaders are doing so because they have an OOC grudge or because it's cramping their character's style and rather than handle things in-game, they try to change server policy to suit their personal needs.

I don't really feel that GM's and Admins should be allowed to hold high positions of power in RP. It creates a lot of tension for people during times of war, and just gives that group too much of an advantage. It really prevents RP in a way. People don't really want to go up against a GM in RP, knowing they are at the disadvantage. Normal players should hold the positions of power, keeping things a lot less restricted.

My problem with stopping GM's from being Nation leaders is that if we put that rule in place, we should all be banned wince it is meta gaming. The reason /most/ of the GM's are, of course, GMs, means they show leadership. They may put that into their character if they have the time to do so. It is not our place to dictate how another player of the game can and can not dictate how they develop their character.
