The modreq's is a big one for me. I found myself making a lot of modreq's, and lots of the time it seemed like they were doing it because they have to, and not because they want to. Every time i make a modreq, I am sure to talk with the GM, in a friendly (dare I say canadian) manner, and more often than not, they are all business and flat out grumpy.

A lot can be taken from shift, when he goes about his work, doing modreq's. Every time shift answered a modreq, he made sure to talk to the player, and answer in a professional, lighthearted way. It's amazing how there are all these barriers between the players, and GM's, yet the lead dev. was perfectly capable of relating to even the noobiest of players (Not a week after I joined the server, during a modreq, at the end shift said "G'night. Shift loves you all <3").

-2 Staff, like players have friends they want to speak with. Some have more player friends, some have other members of staff. Players see a locked TS channel as a barrier. It doesn't hurt to poke the staff member or send them a message should there be a problem or question the player wishes to ask. I don't particularly wish to be in an open channel where everybody and anybody can join it. I personally, am not a social person and have a huge dislike for large groups. Hence why I stick to my own small, social group.

It's okay, but you and Roze have to stop stealing everybody's Rom away without asking. <_<

I would agree. I had 2 modreqs done by the delightful shift in my time when he was Lead Developer. Both times he was professional, kind and seemed genuinely interested (Despite what he may really have felt) in what was going on. It isn't that hard to lie through your teeth on the internet. Dare I say that each GM could set a few binds.

Things don't have to be truthful to make someone's day better.

I do not believe that you have to respect staff, but only speak to them respectfully there's a difference I believe.

What do you think?

This couldn't be more true, Mogroka. Eventually it gets to the point where disagreeing with or criticizing a staff member is 'disrespect'. I treat the staff as I treat every other player.

Obviously we can't force you to respect anyone, but if potentially, you could get along with us, and we could get along with you, why not? Friendship isn't a bad thing! :) However, if you simply can't bring yourself to get along with a staff member, keep things prompt and respectful and hopefully the problem can be resolved.

Rom: Hey all.

All: Hey Rom.

Rom: So how is everyb...

*User was moved from your channel*

if im being honest.. i dont like you mog, i dont like the way you RP'ed some things, i dont like the way you have treated some people, i dont like hwo you assumed command of both the orcs and the humans with very little IC promotion. all in all i think the server would be better off without your kind fo roleplay, becuase you have lead both of these groups who have a large population your brand of RP has spread ebcuase well, "follow the leader", i honeslty feel the server would be better off without you as an admin, as a GM even i think you should return to the role of a regular player.

PS. i still respect some of the things you have done but i dont respect the way you have treated some people.

I'd like to see this added as a permanent fixture...

-The staff AND the Players shall reach a consensus on all major and decisions that would directly affect the server and it's player-base, within understanding of administrative decisions that would be made by the staff itself.

All I'm going to tell you with you post is that's it's incorrect. I don't care if you dislike Mog, although both of his promotions have tons of roleplay before them. Mogroka's been the leader of the orcs way before he's been a GM, and he gave up that position. Some of the facts you're saying are wrong, so yeah. #mogfanboy

Anyways, on the terms of the respect thing, If people don't respect me, Idgaf about them. I don't unintentionally disrespect anyone that has disrespected me. I do agree that, staff members and members should be treated equally but I don't agree with the disrespecting Staff Members just 'cuz. If a staff member didn't respect you, made fun of you, ect, by all means do what you wish. However, if a staff member did nothing to you, and someone said something bad about them, don't bother with it because half of the time, its a rumor made by a group of people that dislike that said member.

I'd personally like to see the playerbase voting people onto the staff team. The staff could put together a list of possible candidates, and then people may comment why they may or may not want to see that player added as a GM.

I personally do not believe this would work because I feel that the staff team would become a server-wide popularity contest in part, rather than simply looking at a player's aptitude for the job.

Voting people onto the staff team would not be a very good Idea I think, since it would mostly be based on bias and not who is the best candidate for the position. In general the players arn't really fit for such important decisions since they don't know enough about most candidates, and as I said, will probably vote for their friend.

The staff should keep choosing staff itself.
