-3 Staff should try while replying to mod-reqs, reply with a nice demeanor and when ending the modreq should says something in the likes of ‘’Thank you and have a nice day!’’

This. While as small and insignificant this may seem, this genuinely is the make or break point for me. Whether the GM that does my modreq is either funny or friendly about it. I like to be in a good mood and I hate it when a GM does my modreq grudgingly and makes me feel bad about askin. Though maybe it shouldnt be as robotic and generic as ‘’Thank you and have a nice day!’’ but just general friendliness, lightheartedness or humour.

Agreed. Though I would love to have a note in there about players having to RESPECT staff.

I do not believe that you have to respect staff, but only speak to them respectfully there's a difference I believe.

What do you think?

Great.

Though.

I think it's sad that you need to make rules for things like this.

It is really common sense.

At least from the place I got raised, born and live right now..

Be nice to each other.

Be open minded...

:)

Great to see something happen.

Better late than never.

Personally having been on 3 different MC servers, I have to say LotC certainly has the most 'relaxed staff policy'. That being said, in some ways it is far too relaxed in my opinion. Even though I do find it nice, there are some drawbacks.

If not respect, at least come into the modreq with the understanding that GMs are volunteers and not paid workermonkies, no?

Staff should be respected, but that doesn't mean that players should withhold certain ideas just because they're staff members and they must be respected at all times.

Yes ofcourse players should act in a nice demeanor threw Modreqs, and likewise with Staff.

That being said, most staff don't hang about a single RP group as I have observed (At least it seems for me). It makes becoming familiar with them difficult as you only see them sporadically.

A fair comment. As long as it is made clear that a staff member is not there to raged at. LotC is free, they are volunteers.

Overall I quite like this, just as long as it is intended that both the staff and the player are treated kindly.

To quote our cooperative Lore Master CountJuno88 (Yes, I over use this... But only because I agree with him on such a fundamental level):

-1 Staff should try roleplay more and seek many groups of people to roleplay with.

-2 Staff should try not keep to themselves in private channels on teamspeak.

-1 Staff, like players also have their RP groups. I, for one roleplay very little. When I do it's with the camp my character lives on with several players. It wouldn't be in my character to go and mingle with others, nor do I have time to make another character.

-2 Staff, like players have friends they want to speak with. Some have more player friends, some have other members of staff. Players see a locked TS channel as a barrier. It doesn't hurt to poke the staff member or send them a message should there be a problem or question the player wishes to ask. I don't particularly wish to be in an open channel where everybody and anybody can join it. I personally, am not a social person and have a huge dislike for large groups. Hence why I stick to my own small, social group.

That is indeed a fair remark. However, I believe it is intended to be more to encourage the expansion of RP for those moderators who have characters capable of going to RP with other groups. I totally understand the idea that a character is incapable of finding themselves in particular situations.

Indeed, I play a High Elf. I know that feeling perfectly well. That being said, those who are capable of it should no?

Oh of course, if that character is capable of doing so or, rather if it would suit that character.
