The Imperial Guard

The duty of the Imperial Guard is so safeguard Oren and the Imperial Family. They follow a strict regime of rules and conduct that makes them far superior to any force of bannermen.

Auxiliary:

The Auxiliary are the new recruits within the Legion. They have yet to undergo their full initiation and have participated in little to no large engagements or ones of significance. They form the front lines, along with Legionaires.

Their equipment generally consists of a basic set of armor if any, and their own weaponry. They have yet to be trusted with proper Legion equipment.

Legionnaire:

Legionnaires are basic foot troops. They are the back bone of the Guard and have proven themselves by participating in 3 battles or significant events, such as securing a city or performing an escort detail.

Legionaries carry a gladius, long sword, a full body shield or a kite shield and crossbow. They are trained in these weapons and carry medium or heavy armor, depending on personal preference.

Legionnaire Extremis:

The Legionnaire Extremis is a veteran of the Guard who are put in command of squads during operations missions and events. They are usually better equipped and are promoted by their battle prowess, strategic ability, and leadership skills. One is promoted to Legionnaire Extremis by shining and proving their worth. As a rule, if you can best an Extremis as a Legionnaire, you are generally chosen for possible promotion.

They are equipped the same way as Legionnaires with the exception of their armor bearing their rank, and their equipment being of higher quality.

Legionnaire Minor Ministro:

The basic officer of the Imperial Guard. They relay basic orders down and are often in the field for moral support and as a rallying figure for dazed Legionnaires, or Legionnaire Extremis' leading their unit. They are promoted to this rank by showing skill in leadership, combat, strategy, and have undergone officer training. They are usually third sons or less of noble famalies, but sometimes a commoner may rise to the occasion.

Their equipment consists of ornate armor, personalized weaponry of what is used by every Legionnaire, such as a gladius with a serpent at the pommel, and so forth. Their armor is marked with their rank. In addition, they and all ranks higher along the chain carry no full body shields normally, and use kite shields.

Legionnaire Major Ministro:

The Major Ministro is a Legionnaire who has spent years in the Guard and proven fit to be included in strategic meetings and planning of battles or situations where the Legions are concerned. They have proven to be experts of logistics, strategy, combat, leadership, and spent extensive time within the Guard. They often assist Legates in smaller matters and detail work. They have battlefield command of all bannermen, and Legionnaires of lower rank.

Their weaponry is much like the Minor Ministro and their armor has ornate style and extensive craftsmanship. They often carry banners when entering the field, that show scenes of battles, figures, or other inspiring frescos.

Legate:

The Legate is the pinnacle of the Guard. They are hard, I breaking career soldiers who have dedicated their lives to the Imperial Guard. They surpassed their peers when Major Ministro's in all things and were hand chosen by a general and approved by an Imperial Family member. They hardly enter battle, but when they do it means that their skill is needed, and are called upon in times of dire need, or on important missions. They are often seen in the company of Royals or highly important Nobles and Council members. They are often seen turning their noses up at noes of little or no worth. They can take command of any force of bannermen, even if the noble is present as they are trusted by the Imperial Family, and have command of all legion forces of lower rank.

Their equipment consists of the finest armor and weapons, hand crafted by themselves with the purest metals available to them. They quite often spend years on their armor and weapons. They have a helmet with a red horse tail plume running from forehead to almost the very back edge at the neck protecting part at the back of their helmet.

General:

The General is the supreme military leader of the Guard. Their is always at least two, and have spent their entire lives at the service of Oren, and are hand chosen by the Imperial Family to lead the armies of Oren. They have command of all forces, bannermen or Legionnaire. They can even command knights if no knight commander or officer is present.

Their armor is hand crafted, and has been with them since they forged it from their days as a Legate. They are known and require no mark to identify them as a General.

Uthor sighs as he continues to re-write the holy Orders posters as he Conscript brings him a copy of the flier he sighs looking at the conscript

"This is not the Imperial army.... Not even close to what it is to be..."

He looks through his desk looking at his copies with the Emperors seals not finding one to match this he then looks to the conscript

"Gather the knights and tear down all of the posters and if any are to question tell them it has not been apporved by the Emperor and ye are on Orders from the Grand Knight to do so. I have seen the copies of the to be army posters and this is not even close..."

The Conscript nods as he darts outsides rallying the knights of the Lion and they begin to tear down all the copies of the town over time.

Vectis would have assigned himself to the personal duty of tearing down each and every poster all across the capital. There was only one Imperial Guard, and that was the Imperial Dragon Guard.
