Geo's One Year/ask Me Anything/introduction Extravaganza!

Firstly.  This isn't as exciting as the title suggests.  Ha!



Secondly.  After a long time (Thirty something seconds) of pondering what I should do for my draining 365th day of the consumption of the drug we call LOTC, I decided to, during my one year withdrawal from real life to create this topic giving you all a little information about myself as well as giving you the ability to ask anything about me and also telling you that about one year ago yesterday, your server got just that weeeee bitty more Scottish.

Firstly my name is George Angus and I am a sixteen year old boy that lives in the small city of Dundee, Scotland.  My birthday is on Saint Patrick's day, meaning it is coming up pretty soon (For those of you that don't know when that is, Google is yo bro fo life.)  I'm currently attending a Catholic high school and am in Fourth Year, for most of you that will not mean anything, but for my fellow Scots, they'll know that my finals and my prelims are not far off.  I'm someone that is into heavy rock and metal genres of music, I enjoy bands such as: Five Finger Death Punch; Red; Story of the Year; Cannibal Corpse; Amon Amarth; Seether and the like.  However, I am also a fan of simple and more classical pieces of music, one of my favourite composers of all time is a Youtuber named Adrian Von Ziegler, you should really check him out!  As stereotypes go, with my passion for metal comes, of course, my really long hair.  My hair hangs at almost two feet now and is my pride and joy, those that know me will also know that I would die protecting my hair from the dreaded evil cutlists of... the barbers.  

 

 

SCOOOOOTLAAAAAAND

 

 

When it comes to my nationality, I am severely proud of who I am and where I belong.  Both my parents are indeed pure Scottish, making me the same and I absolutely love Scotland with all my heart.  I jokingly exaggerate my Scottish-ness often, and will be seen using the phrase "Because I am Scottish" to get out of almost any situation!  And as far as stereotypes go I do not stand at three feet high, and I am not ginger.  However I do look great in a kilt, and I do love me some Haggis and Mince pie, speaking of which, it's Rabbie Burns night tonight!  

When it comes to interests my focus is mainly on reading and writing, which then extends out to role-playing.  Ever since I was a child of around five or six I'd always been interested in plays and the like, however due to confidence issues I'd strayed a little from it.  Though getting access to the internet had allowed me to carry on that interest, and turn it into what it is today.  I have been role-playing around eight years now, starting off at some very tiny and simple forum RP's lead to me creating my own role-play forums and even servers for others to enjoy.  I've role-played on countless different platforms such as: Runescape, World of Warcraft, D&D, LOTRO, SA-MP and many different role-play forums out there.  

 

Writing and role-playing are my life, I spend a lot of time writing creative pieces to add to my little collection to practice and hone my skill in English.  English is currently my favourite subject at school and I am actually looking forward to the exam!  Aside from that I role-play with the best of intentions, this being to make the experiences of others more enjoyable!  Even if this means I must forfeit my own time, I will always try my hardest to make sure another player feels comfortable and assured.  I would like to think I am a very approachable person and I try hard to stress to other players that they may come to me if they are lost, confused or unsure about something and just generally need help.  I will most always be available on Skype or through PM if anyone had ever need anything.

 

 

So I joined Lord of the Craft a year ago and not by chance.  One of my great friends Tyber referred me to this server, a good friend of mine from my very first ever Minecraft server.  Ever since I first found out about Minecraft I hadn't been role-playing as much, I was more focusing on just enjoying the game.  However, it never crossed my mind that I could be doing both role-playing and Minecraft at the same time, and I was excited.  In a spoiler below I have put a brief bullet point monthly summary of my progress on LOTC for those that are interested!

 

 

January 2012

Applied for Lord of the Craft

Became accepted and implemented to LOTC

Played my character Ralof Kjarvallen, a human that would dwell around the city of Ascella

 

February

I continued to play my character, beginning to get a much better grip of how the server worked.

Spent most of my time gathering materials for the King of Ascella

Got bugger all in return, and dealt with it.

Took part in my first PvP war against the hallowed bandits.

Met, was robbed by and then killed the Faceless Man in self defence.  

Lead a small group of rangers into reclaiming the abandoned Fort Mirach

Got ROFLstomped the next day by Orcs

Soon killed off Ralof and began making preparations for another character.

 

March

Wrote and posted my first villain application for Twisted ways of killing and Psychopathy, which was soon denied.

A week later I reposed the application and it was accepted.

I began playing my new character, The Perfectionist, a rather psychotic mime.

I spent a good majority of that month learning my character, as it was difficult.

I met Icelifreakx, whom became a very key character to my role-play.

My character remained living in a small basement in the town of fairfields.

 

April

Me and Icelifreakx decided that we would make a cult based around perfection, the cultists would be named the Klawr'Thenaarzhis and there would be six of us, based on six things.  Fire, Ice, Life, Decay, Mentality and Judgement..  Icelifreakx was the Klawr or Ice, The Glacial one.  I was the Klawr of judgement, the Adjudicating one.

Fairfields and Ascella soon fell to the newly rising threat of the White Ravens, this was bad as The Perfectionist hid in the basement of the small settlement.

My character fled with the glacial one to a fort where the old Camel bandits - whom were the newly formed House Adelban- resided, it was named Fort Adelban.  It is here they now resided.

After being graphically murdered at the gates of Hansetti by Arbrek Starbreaker, he insisted I play his child due to how pleased he was with the encounter.

I created another character, a dwarf named Irin Starbreaker along with my friend Raptor whom was his brother Bruin Starbreaker, the names Irin and Bruin are a play on words from the Scottish soda Irn Bru.

I met my third cultist, Mikeybree, whom soon became the Klawr of Decay, The Ashen One.

 

May

I had soon after met my fourth cultist, Abysmall, whom became the Klawr of Fire, The Searing One.

Cult activities began to be noticed, and The Perfectionist himself became a known face in Asulon.

I then made a character called Tavros Adolphus, purchasing a house in Solace I began using this as a more calm, relaxed character.

I soon became house Adelban's torture master, and would often be seen cutting up bodies down the dreaded 'Lucky's ladder'

I had left the server near the end of May due to my exams but returned shortly after.

 

June

Preparations for the cult began, I promised that I'd write a very intense lore about it soon.  The other cultists began writing VA's and in some cases MA's in preparation of what was to come.

I created a character called Vespasianus Volumnius, a character that only spoke in rhyme and riddled and took on the appearance of a Roman Senator, in the Blackwood Legion.

I met up with my girlfriend, whom I actually met on LOTC.  Who had flown all the way to Scotland from America to spend two weeks here.

I met my fifth cultist Watyll whom became the Klawr of Life, The Rejuvenating One.

I also created a character called Khyraela Oakenmar, and wrote a rather nice piece of lore about Forest Dwarf culture, which unfortunately never lasted long.

By now I find myself creating far too many characters and did not really play them all much.  

 

July

Summmeerrrr!!!!  

I began role-playing a lot more often.

I began to terrorise the city of Ascella and Ursakar whenever I could.

I created a character called Tugg, a big derpy human for the Master Thieves Guild!

I snuck into Haelun'or, only to be dissected shortly after as the Perfectionist!

I was locked up in Fitchlocke for sitting on a tent and was then cut open shortly after!

My friend convinced me to make a Kharajyr called Morthawl.

I also created a pirate character called Warg Fireflagon, which I never done much for.

I wrote an application for the Villain Application team.

 

August

I made a VA for Tugg and it was accepted for Breaking and Entering, Unprovoked Murder, Cannibalism and Psychopathy.

I met my sixth and final cultist, Twiddlepop, The Klawr of Mentality.  The Alluring One.

After Tlatlanni Tiazar stepped down Morthawl soon became the Tlatlanni of the Kharajyr.

I was placed upon the Kharajyr Application Team.

I began to promote the Kharajyr to the best of my ability, as my love for them grew.

I sought out the Mori'Quessir, and convinced them to grow the Kharajyr an underground jungle paradise within the city of Menorcress.  They now had a home.

I began writing the lore for the Klawr'Thenaarzhis cult, lore which was never finished.

I began writing a language for the cult, which was also never finished.

I made another Kharajyr character called Vuuzatuuanaah, which unfortunately was never played much.

 

September

I had now managed to gather the remaining Kharajyr after the fall of their city Va'Khajra and round them up in the new jungle city of Xer'Tlaasu, Kharajyr role-play once again would flourish.

I wrote a VA for Tla'Morthawl, consisting of all evils, which was accepted.

I wrote an application to become a Global Moderator.

I convinced a lot of my friends to play a Kharajyr, doing my best to promote the making of applications.

The six of the Klawr'Thenaarzhis cultists began to become more active, doing small attacks on settlements to take victims to torture.

A lot of building was done in the new Kharajyr city, consisting mainly of housing for new Kharajyr.

I wrote lore for Kharajyr magic, based around the deity and daemon goddess Metztli, and the moon.

 

October

I created a VA for a new character called Vellana Runeflail, a kleptomanic Dwarven scribe, which consisted of Stealing and Psychopathy.  It was first denied, then accepted.

I now had four villainous characters with psychopathy and decided not to create any more VA's for a while.

I then created a Mini VA for The Perfectionist, adding cannibalism to the character.

A large in game meeting was held after the dwarven coronation of King Hiebe, the meeting held many different races and nations.  Kal'Urguan(Kal'Karik at the time), The Island nation of Holm, Malinor, Haelun'Or, The Mori'Quessir and the Kharajyr all struck an alliance to keep Orc and Human attacks at bay.  Even now this alliance stays strong, excluding the Mori'Quessir, who remained in Asulon.

Things after this went slow as we learned about 3.0 being created, and waited for our supposed inevitable end.

I created a human character called George MacCray, an Adunian to be part of House MacCray

 

November

Activity of the cult began to dip a little, I was focusing too much on the Kharajyr now.

Ships were beginning to be constructed for the Kharajyr, preparing us to be out at sea.

Myself with a few others went onto the 3.0 development server to begin building the new island paradise city of Va'Ranazjar.

I was accepted onto the Villain Application Team by Urasept along with my great friend Faceless (Jtheo).

Soon after this, the dreaded VA purge happened and I was swamped with applications to read.

I created a dark elven character called Octa, who was designed to be a part of the Frozen Thorns.

In preparation for 3.0 I added Shadowoking to the Kharajyr Application team, to accompany myself and Benboboy.

The Temporary server began and I could not play my Kharajyr character.

 

December

Stopped progress on the cultist lore, as I was too busy with the Kharajyr.

The Staff members began to question the Kharajyr lore, unsure of whether they should continue to 3.0 or not.

After a long week of discussion and debate, it was stated that they would go.

Building progress on the Kharajyr 3.0 city was continued after being halted, and was going great.

The Temporary server went down and we travelled to 2.5, Elysium!  The Kharajyr sailed away in the beautiful shop "Xerdun's Flight", named after the first Kharajyr Emperor that was a player.

I worked hard trying to get the Kharajyr a place to live in 2.5, and a safe place to role-play.

I was appointed the commander of the Frozen Thorns, essentially an OOC leader but not an IC leader.

January 2013

 Full steam ahead on progress for 3.0

Myself and Shadowoking began working on the wiki page for the Kharajyr.

I began to update a lot more lore for 3.0

I wrote a new application system for 3.0

New application guide for 3.0 and application rules.

Added Yekim to the Kharajyr application team to replace Benboboy after he had left.

Resumed progress on the cultist lore.

Reposted The Perfectionists VA after the purge.

Reposted Morthawl's VA after the purge.

Lead the Kharajyr in a battle against the orcs, with our dwarven allies.

The Perfectionist was met by a very special being, its role in judgement being pushed much higher in the food chain.

Added finishing touches to the 3.0 city of Va'Ranazjar.

Actually, my characters are all small pieces of my self.  Some characters reflect on very personal things in which I don't want to share in public, so I'll let you use your imagination.  But examples are that my character Irin Starbreaker was pretty much a way for me to flaunt just how Scottish I am, my character Octa is one that does not give a single care in the world what somebody thinks of her.  The list will go on.

 

And yes, I have worn a kilt.  My sister was married a year ago and I wore a kilt then, I love kilts.  My sister also cut her cake with a claymore!
