All throughout the Holy Oren Empire, posters are set in public places. They have the seal and symbols of the Chapter of the Lion on them, a division of Oren's Holy Order of the Red Dragon. The postings read as follows:

 

The Chapter of the Lion is currently looking for worthy men to join as squires & footmen in order to serve His Holiness and Imperial Majesty Emperor Godfrey Horen I and the Holy Oren Empire.

 

The Chapter of the Lion's duty is to protect the Crown Lands of Oren and the Imperial Family from all whom seek to do them harm. The Chapter is based in the Capital of the Holy Oren Empire. The Chapter is currently recruiting able-bodied men willing to serve the Empire as both Squires and Footmen. Nobility interested in joining may apply to be a Squire; commoners who wish to join will need to apply as footmen.

 

Those who are accepted into the Chapter will receive benefits including room, food, weapons, armor, and board in the Capital city, along with plenty of fighting action in the name of the Emperor. Those who are interested in joining should fill out a form below and send it by bird (Private message on the forums.) to Noble Ser Jonathan Black.

Biography (Few sentences): I was born in the last days of Asulon. I spent a lot of my time in Kalos helping my father with keeping records. When we finally made it to Anthos, my mother and father passed of old age. I found work in Salvus for quite a few months before resigning. I am now searching for work and I felt it needed that I represent Oren, the greatest nation on Anthos.

Do you have a VA? For which evils?: I am not a villain.

Why do you wish to join the Chapter?: I wish to fight for and represent Oren. I also wish to feel like I am fighting for good. This Order looks the best in Oren. I wish to become more of a man. 

Any past experience in Oren's military?: I have a small amount of experience working for the Shields, though I believe that was a waste of time.

Skills and Abilities?: I have a moderate amount of strength. When I say moderate, it does not mean I can not improve. I am a very good learner. I can also adapt to things easily. I would fancy myself an excellent problem solver. I can keep good records on things and organize many others.

Criminal record?: I have no criminal record in Oren.

What do you think the most valuable trait to have is?: I think my most valuable trait is organizing and keeping records on things. After that, would be problem solving and moral boundaries.

Alfonse Was born towards the end of the Snow’s Maiden in the rich capital of Abresi, His father Jerald served as a shipping manager and his mother, Adeline was a stay at home mother who occasionally sold handicrafts. The family was far from wealthy, living in the slums of the city. Alfonse lived as a normal slum rat, finding work for a mysterious figure known as The Ratmaster, but eventually his father raised the money to purchase the boy a book from which he was kept occupied with the trials of learning to read and write. This later led to Alfonse being able to speak good common rather than broken slum tongues. By the time Alfonse was twelve, he had delved into the world of underground fighting, spending every waking moment he had away from his parents fighting for money and practice.

               After one particular scrap, Alfonse ended up being beat within an inch of his life, but was coincidentally saved by The Ratmaster, his previous employer from his childhood. Between the moral debt, and promise to train Alfonse, The Ratmaster had Alfonse in his clutches once more. The boy was taught the art of archery, wit, and thievery through difficult training, and complex tasks performed around the city. Eventually, the tasks became more stressful on Alfonse’s morals, shifting from victimless thievery and vandalism to in one case the murder of an entire family (Murder by which Alfonse took no part in). Upon realizing this, Alfonse fled from the Ratmaster, and began to work for his father where he quickly built up influence among the working class of citizens affected by The Ratmaster’s wrongdoings, and effectively led a minor rebellion against him. Upon victory over the Ratmaster, Alfonse decided it was time to pursue his dream of adventure and left from the capital for a short time.

He explored the Elvish settlements, and the rich Dwarven mountains, before receiving word from his father to seek out another man by the name of Vectis Vekon, the son of Jerald’s previous employer who had lost a game of dice to him, and owed a moral debt. Vectis was serving as a shield in Salvus, however upon hearing Alfonse’s story, he stepped down from his position, and accompanied him in his travels. Eventually, the duo found themselves back at the capitol. Vectis, ever craving justice and worth ended up applying for the emperor’s dragon guard. Due to his background with the shields, he was accepted into the order rather quickly.

    The two traveled together more, despite Vectis’s obligations, they still found time to explore, and eventually found themselves fending off highwaymen and various other threats upon the Anthos highway. Eventually, Alfonse came across a traveler that recommended that he join the Order of the white rose in the capital. Curious about the recommendation, he arrived to the keep, only to find an elven squire by the name of Fujiwara who convinced him to give the order of the lion a chance. Alfonse found it hard to refuse after previously seeing their knight win a royal tourney just that previous day, and decided to join. He was given an application form, and instantly began to fill it out.

Why do you wish to join the Chapter?: Alfonse has decided to join the Order to make a difference, to serve the Oren Empire, and to better himself. Not to mention his plans to repent his past evils.

Archery:
 

The man has been taught by some of the most infamous rouges of Anthos to use his bow as an extension of himself. He is armed with a strong recurve longbow with bladed ends, and he is bloody proficient with it, particularly versed in the skills of long range shooting, and the uncanny ability to notch an arrow in very short periods of time.

Survivalism:
    Alfonse spent plenty of time among the wooded areas of Anthos and has been able to forage from the land around him, to not only survive, but thrive in an environment close to nature. His skills in hunting, herb gathering, and tracking make him an ideal companion when traversing the wilds.

Cunning:
    Where his arrow fails, Alfonse’s words succeed. Growing up penniless, he’s found himself great at bargaining, and thinking outside the box to get what he wants. His poker face is incredible, and his wit has given him the edge in more than one situation.

Well spoken Slum dog:
    Being raised in poverty, Alfonse relates to those who are without coin, and struggling to survive, but through his father’s teachings and determination, he’s become literate, and well spoken.

Criminal record?: Alfonse was never caught for any of his crimes, but as a youth, he did find employment through pickpocketing, lockpicking, and various other forms of thievery. His time with The Ratmaster saw him performing more difficult tasks such as breaking and entering, and thievery of very expensive items. Since then he has never stolen a thing, and often pays more for what he buys as silent repentance for his sins.

What do you think the most valuable trait to have is?:

The most valuable is trait to have is wit. Without the ability to reason through your conflicts you’re nothing more than a barbaric fiend. The ability to see many possible outcomes through foresight proves much more favorable than blindly taking on your obstacles.

Luke was given up at birth to rich and successful family. He worked with his father on the farm, feeding the chickens and shearing wool of off sheep. His village was attacked by a group of strong orcs and his family were defenseless. The family were left with nothing. His father took him to his uncle's village to be trained. Luke learnt to be obedient he also became a crack shot with a bow, and has a mighty swing with a sword. He received a letter from his bio-logical brother telling him to leave his Uncles town and come to Salvus in Anthos. The letter came with a map. With the new skills Luke has obtained he headed for Anthos. Upon entering Salvus Luke notices a recruitment poster for The chapter of the Lion, and begins to fill out the application.

Why do you wish to join the Chapter?: I have skills in battle, and I'm fed up of using them to guard a tiny village. I wish to defend The Holy Oren Empire and the Imperial Majesty Emperor Godfrey Horen I and to put my skills to use.

Any past experience in Oren's military?: No experience.

Skills and Abilities?: I have a precise aim with a bow, talented at long range and expert at close range. With a sword I am capable of cutting of an Orcs head with barley any effort. I am quick and speedy and get climb up a tall mountain within a minute.

What do you think the most valuable trait to have is?: Speed. Without speed you are slow in battle; swings with a sword will be slower and will make more of a chance of you being defeated. With Speed you can get out of situations with ease or if you are in a hurry to deliver an important message it will be done in no time.

Biography (Few sentences): Tyr is the second oldest brother of the Larowin family, born shortly after the arrivel from Aegis. The Larowin's mother died during childbirth of the fourth brother, Mills. Our father died in battle in the war between the Orcs and Humans, he died a brave man.  Tyr grew up in the quite town of Mireton, a few miles from Arethor. He was brought up by Connor, learnt every he knows from him. Tyr is very proud to call Bronn Sliverblade a friend. Tyr can usually be found hanging around with his youngest Brother Mills.

He'll protect and help his family no matter what. Tyr grew up knowing that loyalty and respect to his friends and family was important.  

Tyr preferred weapon in combat is an Arming Sword equiped with Round Shield and carries a scramsax which is tied to his belt. Tyr is a brave warrior and will always try to strike first.

Biography (Few sentences) Meryn was born into the poor family of Forel living in Ager. Living a simple life wasn't easy and he had to work hard everyday. He dreamt of becoming a Knight of the poor, but he realised that it would never happen. As he grew his dream become stronger and stronger, it reached a point where he left his family all together and traveled to Arethor. He came to Arethor carrying only some food that he took from his mom. With nothing he had to resort to living on the streets and maybe stealing some food now and then. With his dream of becoming a knight grimmer and grimmer everyday, he had to travel back to his family. On the way home he met a camp of Mercenaries on the way to Arethor. He asked if he could sit down with them as the night came. One of the mercenarys asked him. "Why are you so sad boy?" Meryn said "I left my family and went to Arethor in the hope of becoming a knight, but I found out I will never become one so I'm on my way back to my family." The mercenary said cheerfully " C'mon boy one dream broken dosen't mean your life is broken. You got to look at the bright side of life boy." Confused Meryn said "What do you mean? Can I become a knight?" The mercenary anwsered "Well, sure you can boy. Everyone can, heck even I can if I wanted to, but you'll have to train everyday. I suggest you join us and we'll give you a push in the right direction. Right boys?" The group said in unison. "Aye." "So, do you want to join us boy?" Meryn smiled "Yes, yes of course I want to!" Meryn lived and worked with the group for years to come, travelling all over Oren, from Westport to Riven. The years went and Meryn was now an adult and a fierce fighter. He said to the mercenary group. "I think it's time for me to leave you and follow my dream. I will always remember you." The mercenary said. "And I will remember you. I will wait for the day to say to my children that I trained the knight Meryn Forel." With those words Meryn left the group and went to Arethor dreaming to fullfill his dream.:
