Definitions

In your own words define the following terms. Do not take
any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing: Role-playing is to enter another beings world.
To take control of another whom we are not in reality. It consists of acting as
if you were in another world, surrounded by new beings and being one yourself.

Meta-gaming: Meta-gaming is to bring knowledge from real
life into the game. This could involve things such as knowing proper
coordinates without discussion or knowing about secrets that you’ve found out
of character. Basically, Meta-gaming is to use your out of character knowledge
whilst in character.

Power-emoting: Power-emoting is to bend the RP towards you.
Take the following as an example: ‘’ Monkey stole everything in Vislo’s home
and killed him.’’ Vislo could not respond to this in any way shape or form. He
is forced to be robbed and kill in the spirit of RP.

In-Character Information:

Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Falent Darnore

Current Age: 34

Sub-race (if any): Mountain dwelling Dwarf

Clan (if any): ø

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+
paragraphs long): Falent was the result of a short relationship. His father
Bjorn was a great miner who spent most of his time in the mines, with a couple
stops at the pubs of course, he had greatly defined shoulders and an extremely
muscled back and shoulders. It had been a cold day at the mines and seeking
heat and comfort he entered a small pub. In the pub was a magnificent Forest
dweller by the name of Durria. She was serving a bunch of filthy dwarves when
he came in and each were insulting her because she was a Forest dweller. Seeing
the sadness in her eyes, Bjorn walked over and asked the men to leave seeing
his composure they backed away. He had Durria to him alone and they spoke
through the whole evening. This occurred a couple times throughout a week. At
the end of his day Bjorn would walk to the pub, ask for some ale, and have
great conversations with her. They were deeply in love. At the end of her shift
one day, Durria invited Bjorn to her house, up in the trees, he accepted and
that’s when Falent was created. But of course, their love couldn’t last long.
Being a reputed miner and her a forest dweller a lot of pressure was put on
Bjorn. It was either Durria or his friends and job. Sadly, about three weeks
after they’d met, Bjorn never came back and Falent was raised by only his
mother.

Falent had never met his father and his mother seldom spoke
about him, yet he carried a great childhood. He and his friends loved the
stories of great dwarven battles and the giant mountains and Falent was most
interested. Growing up with her mother, Falent was in contact with nature more
than others. He and his mother were always out on treks or climbing mountains.
After some time though, having paid for Falent’s early years with gold she had
saved up. Durria had to get 2 jobs and hardly had time to devote to Falent. He
was alone most days. Building little villages and huts with leaves and sticks
in his yard. His mother, coming back from work and seeing his builds would
always say he was an architectural genius.

At the age of 23, Falent decides he’d join the Legion to give
honor to him and his family’s name. His mother sobbed his depart asking him to
swear he’d be back. He swore. In the legion Falent learned many things that
would help him through his life. He was remarkably good at wielding a sword and
he learned many skills he needed to survive. About 6 years after he joined
Falent was camped near a battlefield when a courier came up to him. He had
gotten a letter from his mother, she was greatly sickened and would love to see
him in her last moments. Falent would wait a week before traveling back to his
mother’s home where he would find her nowhere to be seen. He asked around town and
finally got an answer from one of the elders, his mother had died during his
absence. He walked away, slightly dizzy and something else… pain maybe? no
something deeper. He felt sorry. Sorry for his mother. He hadn’t seen her in 6
years and at her last moments when she was dying he refused to come back in
time. He blamed it all on himself, forgot about the sickness, forgot about the
real cause, his mother died because of him is all he had in mind. He went to
the pub and sat there, sat there and drank for nearly 3 days straight.

After that moment he went home, gathered his valuables, and
set out for a settlement in the mountains he would stay there. Get a job and
raise a family with whom he’d stay, unlike his father. Then it struck him. He
had to find his father. Remembering stories about where his mother and father
met he scouted the mines in the region asking for a Bjorn until, at the age of
33, he found his father. They talked over ale ‘’Catching up’’. Falent then
announced his mother’s death and Bjorn looked at him, saddened by the event.
They split paths that day. Never meeting each other again. Falent had set off
for a new life and Bjorn would morn his beloved in the mines.

Ambitions for the Future: Settle down in a nice settlement. Bring honor to the Darnore name.

Personality: Falent is an extremely outgoing dwarf. He will
always lighten the mood and use sarcasm to cheer everyone up. He also has the
willingness of his mother which makes him always accomplish his goals. He also
has his father’s keen eye to identify things others wouldn’t necessarily
recognize. He rathers to take some projects on alone but is also a very open
minded man.

Skills: Ramarkable Sword Wielding, great miner, descent at
farming and creating own income.

Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):

Any other details you wish to share about your character: A
great builder who will join any settlement in hopes of bettering it.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question in this section must be answered with a
minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as
descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.

____

1. Whilst mining deep in the undergrounds of Kalos you
see a large deposit of diamond ore at the other side of the ravine you are on.
There is a very thin rock bridge that looks precariously unstable, but it is
the only way to access the deposit. What do you do?

Answer: I look around for something to stabilize it, if I
find something like planks or other form of reinforcing material I use it to
reinforce the bridge and get across. If there is nothing to reinforce it I
study how long the fall is and look for another way around. If there is no other
way around I sneak over it to create the less weight possible.

2. You are sitting in the local tavern with a large pint
of ale in your hand - sitting nearby you is a rather young dwarf whom is
clearly going through a bad time. He is crying to himself, and clutching a
small wooden hammer toy. In the other corner of the room two shady dwarves are
sitting whispering to each other and pointing occasionally at the dwarf. They
stand up, one with a small dagger in his hand and begin to approach the young
dwarf. What do you do?

Answer: I slowly stand and go towards the young, bring my
pint with me. If the men get close in a dangerous way I throw my pint at the
man with the dagger, hopefully making him drop it or at least be stunned. I
then try to disarm him or kick the dagger away and start fighting them. If it
gets to difficult I will yell ‘’RUN’’ at the young one and try to distract the
men as much as possible possibly screaming for the guards. I will then run
myself if in danger.

3. Whilst wandering through the Dwarven Caverns you hear
a voice call out to you; “Oi, ye’! C’mere n’ get ye’rself an ale!”. You spin on
your heel and see a heavily bearded bar-owner looking at you - a huge grin on
his face, and a mug of ale in his hand. How do you react?

Answer: I ask why he is there and if it’s legitimate ale or
poison. Then ask if it would cost me anything. If yes I say I’m out of money
and continue my walk. If no I take the mug and inspect it (Smell, maybe put
finger in take a tiny sip) Depending on inspections I give it back or walk away
with it then throw it to the ground.
