The Death Of Thordin Marsh

Thordin Marsh lies in the bed in the Dal Cais Sick House, at the end of his life, deep in fever. His eyes are closed, but his mouth is moving, and he is reaching out, as though holding something.

 

He speaks "Brandon... Brandon I thought  ye we'r dead..." He pauses again, listening to the invisible voice that seems to speak to him. "You too? 's my time?" He tries to sit up, but falls down again, weak from his sickness "Aye, aye. I'll jes' be a minute..." Thordin stares out the window one last time, seeing the sunset, before closing his eyes once more, never to open again.

*Visits the Sick House* "Brother.... No..."His face turns red, and he runs out.

Konrad stands over the bed, and bows his head, shutting his eyes

 

"Tell Brandon I said hello..."

 

Puts a small iron eagle on his chest and walks out
