Ser Charles sits within the confines of his small cottage and reads the Edict brought to him by his squire, he chuckles softly as he finishes, "Finally they are gone... the war can now truly end." he mutters to himself. Charles then climbs up his stairs and begins to prepare himself for the day, a smug grin upon his face now that he knows this profound news.

Upon hearing of such grand news, Hunwald cheers in excitement.

"S-So that is it. Peace at last? Cross is... defeated?"

Within the dim confines of grim stone and sturdy timber, a sinewy and rigid body lays enbalmed. Upon the news lamented in confused tones, a low moan befalls as the far dead Hochmeister Gaius Marius opens his eyes and cringes, stating "Let me see this whom you men laid your lives for! Horen, give me back my Legions!"

*Igor laughs at the fact the Blackmonts are an even bigger threat then the Teutons, and that Horen has still not disbanded them, even though they continuously attack the dwarves*

Art thinks it's high time the Dwarves steps in due to that fact that the bloodpack has not only been broken by the blackmonts, it's been snapped into tiny little pieces and stomped out of recognition. But hey, what does he know about politics?

Bran Volsung carefully read over the article, remaining stoic he raises his hand to rub his beard.

"Mm, I suppose it's time to persecute the others as well. Contrivers and conivers alike are about, and it's time a mendacious group be culled."

Tossing aside the frill of his tabard he began his walk to the White Rose fort.

Cole sighs, Reading the parchment as he grips it in anger but can understand why he is doing this.

"I will refuse to turn in my uniform. I will die before I hand it over."

Cole takes off the robes, setting them into his chest, keeping them locked and safe.

From her tower room in the Dreadfort, the heavily pregnant Lorin Blackmont smiles over the news of the edict.

"Well, August," she says to no one in particular, speaking only to the dank and empty air of the tower. "The rivalry is over at last. It's a shame you didn't last long enough to see this."

Morg Candridge walks up to the Valois noticeboard, observing a small and slightly torn copy of the edict.

"Well, that's one pointless war done with. Let's see how long it takes for a few more to start up."

He lets out a sarcastic "Hoorah," and strides off towards the barracks to deliver the message to his men.

Hochmeister Black calmly reads the edict. It is not a look of shock or disappointment that crosses his face; merely a quiet acceptance. If the Emperor ordered him, he would do it.

A few hours later, and Castle Greywynn is busy as ever. Sariants take their tabards off, stuffing them in multiple carts. The flag of the black cross at the central gate is torn down, and throughout the rest of the Keep other Black Crosses are torn down, one by one. The requirements of the Edict are fulfilled and all symbols of the Order are packed onto the cart; the Hochmeister, or he who used to be the same, and several Sariants escort the cart to the Capital. The men arrive at the Emperor's palace, and the goods are delivered to him personally, stacked high in the form of crates in the throne room. Jonathan Black kneels before the Emperor.

"I have done everything as asked, your Imperial Holiness. You have tested my loyalty, and I have stayed loyal. Do as you wish."

"CROW BEATS CROSS!"

He grins and drinks from his wineskin.
