[Resolved] Questions About Ic Grammer And Other.

Hello, I just had two questions I would really like answered.

 

The first is about grammar. I notice that a lot of In-character dialogue is done in an old English kind of way. My characters history basically sais that he is well read. Would it be bad for me to speak English well?

 

Ex.

 

Old English: 'ello.

 

English: Hello.

 

Secondly, In my characters history he worked at a tavern. (Though it doesn't really go into any more detail than that.). Would it be acceptable for my character to try his hand at brewing out of interest? if not, how would I go about doing that if there is a way.

Most players typically write in a verbal-transcript sort of way. If your character is well-spoken, it's perfectly fine to write in perfect English. If you want, you can add some Olde English flair, but it's entirely up to you.

 

It's often fun to come up with a distinctive speaking style - I point out Gaiusmarius8 and Hunwald Coalmein for this, their characters always have excellent accents.

 

To address the second point-  why not! You can easily get a job at a tavern - there's one thats just opened in Salvus!

Also I actually have one more question. After I posted my application, I made minor changes to my skin (added lighter darker colors to try and reflect the thought of shadows). Is this too much to be changed or should I go back to my old skin.

It doesn't really matter!

 

You can change your skin as much as you like once you're accepted - it's just to check you understand what a "RP" skin is.
