First Battle: Dwarves Vs Oren - Quick Question

Okay, so I was in TeamSpeak (Dwarven Side) for a good while before the battle actually occurred and constantly kept hearing

 

"Do not go to the left hand bridge, it is out of the battle zone and we aren't allowed to use it!"

 

And relative similar statements. 

Now... During the battle, on several occasions I saw Oren's soldiers venturing off to this bridge and actually cross is at one point to flank our soldiers.

 

"Fair enough, it grants a tactical advantage!" I hear you say!

 

Well, what I would like clarification on, is this. Are we allowed, during a battle to venture from the battlezone to outflank our enemy? 

 

If not, why did Oren do it?

 

If so, why were we told not to?

 

Also, if we are not allowed to, could this be clarified upon before the next battle to prevent people from breaking this rule?

The bridge was in the battle-zone. Please check the battle map.

I looked at the battle map and they placed the bridge just inside the the war boundaries, which we didn't know about.

I was told, that the red zone was the battle zone, with the left hand bridge being out of bounds for anyone. 

Correct me if i'm wrong, but that's what I was hearing for well over an hour.

That side was in the battle-zone, but you weren't allowed to swim across. Some Oren soldiers (The Rangers, I think) used the bridge to get across.

The war-zone was made by Sheumgal, meanking, darkling7788, and I believe Chaqery. Everyone knew about it. You had a day to look at it, which obviously many of you did not take advantage of.
