I, Edward Snow, bastard son of Lord Robert Winter, myself of a reputable nature and a history of financial responsibility, am looking to purchase tracts of land in Oren for construction purposes. ((No -.- , Robert Winter is the son of Harold Winter, and both are played by LotC members other than myself, and the house was established in Asulon. It was actually the guy who plays Robert Winter's idea for me to use the surname Snow, because I couldn't use the House name a bastard, and it was similar to the House name. Other considered names were "Ice", "Cold", and "Frost".

 

But now that you mention it, yes, there was a Robb Stark in Game of Thrones who lived in Winterfell (which is somewhat similar to Robert Winter, I suppose), and the surname given to a bastard from the North was Snow. That's as far as the parallels extend though.

 

My other character is Aeto Tsojenn, which has nothing in common with anything from Game of Thrones, and is just a name I chose because it sounded similar to my username, Aetosion [Ae-Toe-Shun]. Though, I'm not sure you're referring to that when you say "RP names".))

@BrandNewKitten - The existing parallels with GoT were coincidental, but even if they weren't, let's look at some examples. If you look at Anthos, the Flays live in the Dreadfort and had a Crimson Banquet, there's a giant ice wall blocking access to a harsh North, and several other things that I don't feel like trying to think of right now.

 

Elves, Orcs, and Dwarves are pulled from other fantasy literature, the different empires are modeled from bits of different real world empires, and the human variants like Hansetians mirror real life groups like the Norse, or similar Skyrim groups, and the Auverginians (sp?) use what I believe is an exact copy of French for their vocabulary. Hell, the language we speak in game is usually English, which wasn't invented for LotC, and shows roots from real world civilizations. Even if I had taken my name from Game of Thrones, that wouldn't be all that different from a great deal of the server that borrows from other medias for inspiration. 

 

So no, this was not a trolly post. Edward is my name in real life, Snow was chosen because it was similar to Winter, Winter was because the guy was the Lord (I think his rank in the peerage was Duke) of Northal in Asulon, which was named so because it was in the North, and Robert's a pretty common name, as is Harold, although none of the aforementioned given names were featured in Game of Thrones to my knowledge.))

Anywhere from 20x20 to 100x? . I just need a place to build a few things that has some ease of access from the main road going through Oren. Alternatively, I could just rent it out. I'll only need it for a month tops.
