The Magestate

The Declaration:

~The fortress city of Ac'talareh, and anything within two hundred yards of any one of it's walls is now an autonomous entity and is self governing, seperate from the land of Malinor of which it was situated previously. This land will be named the Magestate, for whom it's leader's are and by and who it is a haven for.

~The Magestate is not interested in expanding further, only to be free of the nation of whom harbours assassin's in it's High council, and will furthermore be continuing to lend it's military aid in battles against the north as it has done for all previous ones.

~The Magestate is not exclusively a nation of magic. It is a haven and place for those of Arcane and Clerical talents to congregate, however it is a state like any other. Soldier likes and people simply looking for homes are still welcome to come within it's borders.

~The Arcane Delvers will continue to operate in the exact same manner as they have before. The Delvers are now the acting guild of leadership within the Magestate.

The Hierarchy:

~The Mindlord Polgrath is the Autokrator of the Magestate, the holder of the final word and the ultimate head of the pyramid in the democracy.

~The Council of Ac'talareh, Also known as the Regents of the Delvers own the same immediate authority as the Autokrator, for decisions and actions regarding the entire guild, the Mindlord's word is voted on by Council, a majority vote can repeal or pass an edict or declaration.

.~The Regents Are~.

Artimec Camoryn

Nienna Calm

Smoke

Dizzy Irongrinder

Ev Ar’ahern

Huwel Adealson

~The citizens of the Magestate, be they Delver, members of another guild, or independent. Each holds equal rights, magic or not. The right to own property as well as the right to act independantly, so long as one abides by the peacekeeping laws.

The Laws:

~No form of magic is to be discriminated upon with the exception of Necromancy. Said magicians are not to harm any citizen of the Magestate or this is subject to change.

~No form of discrimination to any citizen born of any race or nation.

~The following acts are banned by common sense. Thieving, Murder, Arson, et cetera.

~Concerns of the Magestate's prosperity should be taken to the council and the Autokrator before self action, for efficiency.

((EDIT: Bit of a misunderstanding and Titania hasn't OOCly agreed to making this official, however this land claim is RP and should be treated as such.))

*Reads the poster intently, pausing only to gobble down a hearty bowl of Minwoo's stew. Upon finishing he folds up the parchment and slides it into a sleeve pocket.*

Ausar walks around Malinor, seeing the freshly placed scroll on a board he steps in front of. He walks over, leaning a hair as he begins to scan through the sentences. His face staying calm, though interested in writing. He continues to read for a bit as he then walks off towards the gates.

Athri swats at a beetle that keeps trying to land on his nose, as he reads the poster. When he finally finishes reading the poster, he smashes the beetle against it, furious at what he just read.

-Splat-

The beetle's green juices cover the poster.

"Why are there so many /impure/ magical users?! Only mali'aheral should be able to use magic in moderation! Now I know why I was to learn fi'hiiran'seth," Athri spits out angrily.

*Minwoo comes back to Ac'Talarah after a hard day's work in the farms. He carefully looks over the poster and smiles, then proceeds to whip up more food for the Delvers.*

Smoke reads through the poster, scanning and taking in the information before finally lifting his head to the sky, exhaling a deep breath.

"Independence, huh? It's been a long time since we had something like that..."

Within the forested halls of Luminaire, the High Princess darts about the paths and hanging walkways as per usual, like a hummingbird flutters with a sense of urgent curiosity between flowers. Whilst she goes about her business, Titania comes to a sudden halt at the plaza notice board, her eyes trained on the fresh declaration with an air of annoyance. As her gaze travels further down the parchment with every line, her frown deepens with anger. Before long she reaches up to the top of the document, pulling it off the notice board without care and folding it neatly in preparation to be sent off with a bird. She turns sharply and disappears deeper into the ancient forest, mumbling to herself as she paces to the council chambers.

Once at her seat, she wraps her fingers around a quill and begins monotonously scribbling a letter, occasionally shooting a bothered glance to the folded declaration. The quill ceases its graceful dance against the parchment, and rests once more on the birch table. Titania leans back, offering herself a content nod as she skims over the letter a final time before speaking softly to no one in particular.

"I certainly did not expect the Delvers would go against the orders of -two- nations..." Her fingers strum calmly against the edge of the table, her lips curling into a distant, soft smile. "...Another meeting is in order." Titania lingers for a moment more, before standing and gathering the declaration and letter, and descending the stairs of the council chambers.

"Some faeries are going to die"

Khel says under his breath, in an almost subconscious manner. He continues on his way, tossing the document of the news aside as he returns to his cavern

Cyrus looks upon the poster, his eyes moving faster and faster as he reads. His eyebrows furrow as he continues, his mouth slightly agape as if offended. He mumbles to himself, "How... unwise... and pointless..."

He rescans one statement:

'~No form of magic is to be discriminated upon with the exception of Necromancy. Said magicians are not to harm any citizen of the Magestate or this is subject to change.'

He mumbles again, "I never heard that we discriminated against necromancers (unless they were murderous) until just now... Who decided upon this..?"

"Might I note every single necromancer, including that of whom were in the very Dark Brotherhood that warranted this seceding have all been mudderous. If you want to understand the full extent of the situation, Cyrus, do let me know."

Art turns on a heel, striding off.

Tahjeet shakes his head in disbelief at Art's commentary,

"Mon, wasn't it Polgrath's idea ta' not discriminate, 'is decision?  'E 'ad a reason not ta' discriminate against certain magics 'cause 'e 'ad 'ope mon. 'E 'ad 'ope in all o' us, dat dere was good in us mon. Sayin' we do not accept necromancers defeats tha' very purpose o' us. We are 'ere ta' understand and study, not see what benefits us, mon. Dere may be good-'earted necromancers out dere mon, but we will never know unless we leave tha' door open."
