In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Pernux Strychnos
Current Age: 19
Sub-race (if any): Human
Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

Pernux was born to a panicked servant girl and a drunk woodsman. A woodcutting party, a group of 11 or so woman and men set out 9 months before Pernux's birth on a woodcutting trip. A drunken night ended in a servant girl's pregnancy, birthing Pernux. The father nor the girl wanted Pernux, frankly at all, so upon arrival at the capital of the Holy Oren Empire. Meeting a traveling "magic" group, they promptly gave the baby boy to them. The circus master, Lorris Strychnos, named the boy Pernux. And as he grew, he grew an entertainer.

As a boy, his most favorite performance was "The Fire Trick". It consisted of an entertainer rapidly rubbing small pieces of flint with small pieces of steel and producing small flames, to the crowd's wonder. Sometimes, it would even consist of higher quality flames, which never did cease to amaze. However, Pernux knew the trick behind this. In a sense, he thought the entire ordeal of magic to be a scandle, only to be profited off of. How wrong he was.

After a local show, the now teenage Pernux was given a few gold pieces by his "Father", Lorris, to get food. Wandering through alleyways, he came across a meat dealer. As he waited in line behind several people, he overheard a conversation between a customer and the meat dealer.
"Aye, he's interested in goin'." Says the Meat dealer, somewhat confidently.
"But he'll never make it! You know 'ow tough they are!" retorts the customer.
The meat dealer's voice grows slightly angered. "My boy is 'unna make it! Make the Luicor's proud, hm?"
Pernux watches as the customer grabs his meat, chuckles at the meat dealer, and walks off. Walking up to the meat dealer, Pernux ***** his head sideways.
"Sir.. whats you been talking about with that other fellow?"
The meat dealer snorts. "Oh, the Magic Guild? Aye, my son Tommy is goin'."
"I-I mean, you know, Mages? Do those exist?"
The meat dealer squints at him. "Of COURSE THEY EXIST, BOY! There 'ouldn't be a mage guild for nothin'! Now git' your meat!"
"Sorry, sir! Uerhhm.. here you go!" Pernux pays him the amount, grabbing the meat, he races back to the entertainer tent.

Two years later, Pernux is still intrigued on what the Mages really are, and what they have to offer. A lifetime of tricks and lies may have another end to it, Pernux thinks. Offering his goodbyes and goodlucks to Lorris and his friends, he has set out in the capital to live out life, and discover about this "Guild".

Ambitions for the Future:  To discover the Mage's Guild, and possibly join it.
Personality: All the traits of a performer. As an actor, he has multiple personalities naturally. All pile a big, thick blanket over his real, true, inner personality. But does he really have a personality, considering he makes so many? Time will tell.
Skills: Pernux is sly, quick on his feet, and can easily play different roles or personalities.
Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):

Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?

Answer: Pernux looks around rapidly. He could run, he could do it. But at what risk will it put him? Will the man see his face, and will the day of reckoning come? Pernux shakes his head. These thoughts are for another time. "GUARDS! ASSASSIN!" Pernux yells out. Almost instantly, guards are looking in the way of the dark clothed figure. Before the man can turn and see what Pernux faintly looks like, Pernux is already sprinting down the street, away from prying eyes.

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?

Answer: Pernux breathes deeply, but quietly, in the night wind. He unsheathes the longsword, hearing the faint rustle of leather. He straightens his back, setting his eyes on the bandits. Here goes nothing. Pernux walks into the clearing, stomping loud on his boots. He attempts his most authoritive, threatening voice.
"This is Guard Patrol business! Do you rats have anything to do, here?"
The night is dark, as the bandits have not adjusted to it, they cannot see that Pernux clearly isn't a Guard.
One of the Bandits perks up, "Aye, you un' sound like a guard to meh! Doesh he, Tommy?" The other Bandit shakes his head.
Pernux nervously takes a step forward. He raises his voice. "I will have BOTH of your heads on spikes on the morning if you don't let me do my business with the Bladesmaster!" Pernux furrows his brow. He's confident the man isn't a Bladesmaster. The two bandits look at each other. "Ain worth it, Rogers. Ain' worth it." They look at Pernux, before turning a direction and jogging away.

Pernux approaches the old man, giving him a few gold coins for his troubles. He whispers, "Try moving into the Capital. It's safer, there."

3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

Answer:

Pernux ***** his head sideways, smiling. This'll be easy. Approaching the stall, Pernux's expression turns sturdy and confident.
"5 gold for a bushel of wheat." says Pernux.
"7 gold and I'm givin' ya the best price in the city!" snorts the merchant.
"We both know that's not true, merchant! 6 or I walk." says Pernux, pressing on him.
"Gah! Fine, 6 it is. Just to get ye off my back." says the merchant, waving his hand.
"Y'know, now that I think of it, 5 will be just fine." says Pernux, smiling.
The merchant squints at him angrily. "6, and that's it!"
"5, or I walk, and you get no business!" says Pernux, still remaining his serious face.
The merchant murmers angrily, handing him the bushel. Smiling, Pernux hands him 5 coins. Walking away, he smiles gleefully to himself. That was fun.
