To better my point. This is a load of horseshit for the very reason it's an Rp Server and henceforth battles should revolve around Rp.

Why you ask? Let me tell you.

 

1. Rp Combat, while long influences a typist to learn words, and delve deeper into the meaning of said words as well as learning of physics and various other scientifically accurate methods to use their character.

2. There are those of us who have literally sacrificed half of our character's being to make him stronger in combat, with PVP default it's all down to who can swing the sword faster. 

3. THIS IS AN RP SERVER NOT A PVP FACTION SERVER Change the god damned title if you're changing your god damned server.

 

And no, it does not encourage non-powergaming. The only way to have a person stop powergaming is to inform them on the rules and regulations of Rp. I don't agree with what you people are doing, and you're running this server into the ground. 

 

Keep an Rp server Rp. 

Keep a Pvp server Pvp.

 

That's the rules. Learn them or get out of the chair and let someone who actually understands the methods of Rp in. 

 

Great attitude you have - we were an RP server back when we used to have default-PVP, which was actually our highest point - and we remain one now. PVP isn't as 'non-RP' as some people like to think. Why can't you just actually give it a chance and see how it goes, rather than instantly complaining?

If you were roleplaying with someone, and they were to ask for pvp, and you deny, then roleplay running away. Would them catching you up in iron armour (you being in no armour or leather) be powergaming?

What about Blobs and Oozes? We can't be harmed by normal weapons, so should it also be RP default for rping with them? Since we have special abilities that arn't like normal people?

Don't take things out or perspective.

 

This doesn't make RP fighting a bannable offense.

This doesn't make the server a PVP factions server.

This doesn't mean you'll literally be pvp'ed on sight.

 

This does however mean that powergaming will be much more refined. It's been a loose term that's been thrown around for a while, albeit with more strict parameters-- powergaming will be more defined and won't really just be people complaining about losing.

 

Please go on about your days, this isn't the end of the world. As stated by the OP-- if it doesn't work, we can just go back. Simply give the effort to make it work.

Some people need to realize that you do have to RP before the PVP is initiated, y'all getting crazy over nothing. In the time before the fight one can ask for an RP fight if they wish through /tells.

^This. I agree wholeheartedly. We need to give this a go. If it becomes a problem... stop it. I will enjoy PvP fighting as well as the RP fighting. It's a good mix of these two that will make this server much better.

In cases like this, I'd expect you'd all have the decency to agree to roleplay fight in it. Most of you will, so, I don't think we need to worry about it.
