Technical Team Status

Hello fellow Lord of the Craftians!

 

 

A while back I made a post regarding the Technical Team status, however ever since then I have been making efforts to recruit additional team members and much has changed. The Technical Team is now fuller than ever before in the history of LotC, with a grand total of 9 members, and we would like to communicate this to you all. It is my pleasure to present you with a list of these members, including the titles of the upcoming plugins that they are working on.

 

Senior Technicians

Tythus - Forum maintenance, legal.

Dgco - Hiatus (Dealing with life)

Telanir - Server maintenance, troubleshooting, plugin maintenance, Nexus.

 

Junior Technicians

Tyrion - Auction Houses (custom-coded shop plugin)

Arzota - Donor's Distinction (colored IG nameplates)

Sporadic - BetterBooks (bookshelf plugin), CustomTrees (trees are extra special in LotC), Soulstones Plugin recode, KnockoutPlus

Dranday - LeafDrops

Snowshovel - ScribePlus (book copying plugin)

Katherine1 - Compost Plugin (check accepted ideas)

 

 

As you can see, we have loads of new exciting content coming your way. More detailed explanations may be available in a future post, but as of now we just want you to know that hardcore work is being put forward. I am currently working on the chunk loading issues, as well as increasing server running speed and getting rid of lag, but it can be a slow process at times.

If you're wondering about Nexus, it is unfortunately on low-priority as I am the one working on it and have more pressing issues that concern the server such as lag and server maintenance.

For those of you unaware, we have recently recruited a batch of Beta Testers who are already working hard to assist the Technical Team in our endeavors. If you were not accepted, do not lose hope yet, we are still recruiting.

 

There is not much else left, and I have to say I am proud to be able to present a full Technical Team to LotC, something that has not happened until this time. But all you guys need to know is that more techs = more plugins.

 

Edit: An extra note, I will be no longer be releasing Nexus as 'one big release' but am going to split everything up into separate parts so as to get content to the community as quickly as possible.

Good point, I will however, be releasing Nexus in parts, which I will clarify in an edit, one moment.

 

Edit: The date plugin will be released earlier, I will put a high priority on getting it done.

I'm really looking forward to that auction house plugin. And as someone who has had a glimpse of what CustomTrees and BetterBooks will be like, I can say that it's going to be awesome when those are implemented as well. Those and all the rest of the plugins listed will make our experience on LOTC just that much more varied and interesting.

The Tech Team is working hard for us, and that will become very apparent, very soon.
