Danny 2232 Author Share Posted September 27, 2013 I love the fact that you're promoting more Admins and I know Rittsy will do a fantastic job, though I can't help but cock an eyebrow when I see things like this... The Admin Team of old was capable of being active both in game and running the server perfectly well. What exactly has changed so much in Admin duties over the past year that it's considered unimportant to be present on the server itself? The old admin team can't even remotely be described as being active in-game (although, they were more active than the current one, aye) -- only one or two of them were in-game daily, and even then honestly they didn't do much either. That was back when there was a single chap with the big-job (Native) and the others had individual duties - now it's spread, and it's undeniable that our activity as individuals has also lessened, but is coming back to what it once was. Like I said in the OP - we're trying our very best to get back to our old activity, and to also become more active in-game -- and I'm quite sure we will manage that. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

If the majority of the Admins don't think it is necessary to be in game themselves, then there needs to be a compromise. And this definitely isn't anything new, in order to appease the majority of the playerbase it is almost essential that the Admins have a public face, somebody to interact with the players on a daily basis. The Admins of old didn't need any sort of "Player Liaison" because they all made a point of not only running the server, but also remaining at an acceptable level of activity in game. Still think he should have been banned for bullying me. :[ jk don't kill me oh great god of trees Are there any plans to expand the team further/swap a few members around? Honestly I think the admin team should add 1-2 more and I don't think you have to spread out the additions. The electric collar around my neck prevents me from commenting negatively about rittsy, but despite this I don't sdhg\kjszdhbjk\fhb\k Rittsy is a brilliant choice. In all seriousness, I have no doubt that rittsy will make a fine admin but as Matt here has suggested, why stop at one? I remember that when they made a post on every admin's position, he was the one with 'Community Relations' or something.
