*a flier is nailed up in every single capitol as well as in the Cloud Temple and Kralta. If you examine it, you would see it reads:

 

"Denizens of Anthos and members of the Kingdom of Oren, the King cordially invites all inhabitants to the King's Footrace. It will begin at the top of the mountain where New Abresi is being built, and end at the original gates of the old capitol. No sign up is necessary, no shoes allowed. This race will take place on the next elven day."
