Somewhere off in a distant land, a bird drops off a missive into Vesta Gwenyth's hands. She stops in her hike up to the next wayshrine to read it. She couldn't help but smile and mutter a small prayer. "Congratulations Gus and I'll keep you in my prayers Ileana, when I eventually come home we'll have dinner.."

Vesta Gwenyth had written a letter to Rose, informing her she had safely made it to a different continent and begun her travels. Only later did that letter return with the missive. "Oh Rose, I will miss our drinks and the friendship we shared. May you find peace beyond." She murmurs as she leaves a little marking along the road she walked, a carved rose protected once more.

Southern winds blowing across a ruined city once again inhabited.

Vesta has been tired for too long. She can’t remember the last time she slept well enough through the night, not including the nights where her body collapsed from exhaustion rather than sleep. Getting on her armor kept proving to be a struggle, and only half of it was her metallic arm. She’s made peace with what’s to come, knowing full well others haven’t.

The battle rages around her, the clashing storm of steel and blood and gore surrounding her. At the center,

It’s peaceful. That’s a first for her. Battles weren’t always like this. She’s seen enough to understand that fact. Her bow had served her well while the battle raged. As had her rapier. She would continue to fight knowing it bought time for the others to continue to retreat. She pressed forward, still wanting to keep that peace that currently surrounded her. She would fight for all those she loved. She fought to not live as she had before. Perhaps in this next life she would be able to be happy. 

Her arrows keep flying even when her fingers hurt to draw back the string. The Morri kept surrounding her. Would this be her last stand?

She had forgotten what it was like to actually suffocate. She had been surrounded when the others were calling for a retreat. She thought she heard the others but by the time she had turned to start her retreat, they were already on her. Some of the legionnaires stab through the weak points of her armor, and quickly overwhelm her, burying her under a mound of spiders scampering towards the others. The last few things she saw were the familiar armors get away. At least it wouldn’t have been for nothing she thought.

The darkness used to be a comfort, now it was just a reminder.

She didn’t expect to make it to the others. Covered in the dried mud, blood, and other viscera she crawled her way to the sounds of others in the cave system. She could feel the infection coursing through her body with each step. They took her to see medics and to get her wounds treated, but the damage was already done. While wallowing in the pain and waiting for the medicine to do what it could, her mind was released of the strict control she had on it. There were things she did manage to say but felt she would never be able to express her gratitude correctly. There were other things she said that she knew she regretted saying but she would also regret if she never said it. 

The sea air helped her now that she could walk around on her own.

She stood at the dock looking out to the sea, her pack in one hand as the other rested on her rapier. She was finally getting to leave, starting her new journey of penance and discovery, and be just Vesta. With a final wave to those who had gathered to see her off, she stepped onto the boat. She still looked tired, but for the first time in a long while, she let a rare smile out towards the horizon.

“Where to miss?”

“Anywhere, so long as I see another sunrise.”

Vesta looked back to Rosalind "Perhaps, it could be fun.."

Preamble

Time shifts forward, yet the agreement of Onyx and Silver shall remain true. 

The parties of The Principality of Celia’nor and The Principality of Nor’asath, henceforth referred to as the signatories, hereby agree to an alliance in full, the duration of which will last ten years. Additionally, the signatories will adhere to each of the following articles stated within this agreement.

Terms of Alliance

i. The Signatories will adhere to an alliance between their realms, and will not incite conflict between them. The signatories agree that they are willing to aid each other militarily in times of distress.

ii. The Principality of Nor’asath and the Principality of Celia’nor recognize each other’s Realms as independent lands ruled by their respective monarchs, and will make no attempt to subvert those authorities governing them.

    a.The signatories recognize the respective claims of governance, namely that Celia’nor has the right to govern all high elves and that Nor’asath has the right to govern all dark elves.

b. The signatories must gain approval from the leader of extraditing a mali that lives within the other’s land. 

iii.The Signatories agree to engage in trade with each other, whether it be through monetary exchange or bartering.

iv. The Signatories will allow free passage for civilians and refugees through their respective territories, under the law of both nations.

         Translocation

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Translocation is a voidal magic by which the user can store or transport objects or people through use of the void. A translocationist can deconstruct the target of their magic, and reconstruct it in a different location. Translocationists can transport people over longer distances using mana anchors to mark the specific spot to which they will be transported.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

Translocation takes two forms, expatriation and shifting. Expatriation is the process by which a translocationist effectively places an object into the void, storing it for further use and reconstruction when they might desire. Shifting is the process of teleporting objects or people in a certain direction or to a mana anchor, through the void, though the process is somewhat similar to expatriation, the main difference being that the time spent in the void is significantly reduced.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

[T5 Brisk Step] [!] As Aestenia walked down that road, she saw a distant group of masked figures, quickly approaching. Instinctively, she connected, and hues of teal came from her eyes, spiraling also from her circlet. She watched them with a patient smile as they approached, seeming to show hostile intent.

[!] The moment Aestenia noticed the mounted man’s attempt to grab her, she looked back and abruptly vanished, a trail of teal appearing in her wake as she blinked backwards [12] blocks down the road, away from the group. Grimacing momentarily due to the abrupt blink and the disorientation it caused, Aestenia continued down the road, readying herself for an escape.

[T2 Brisk Step] Aestenia gave her student a warm smile, her aura swirling in waves around her. “We will progress with your learning now. You know how to teleport over a short distance using an anchor, but now I will show you a different method, blinking directly without an anchor.”

Student’s eyes widened, their aura surrounding them. “That seems.. Powerful.” Aestenia laughed softly in response. “It seems like it would be! And it is, to a degree. However, there’s a reason translocationists typically use anchors. It takes longer, but it’s more efficient. Blinking in this manner will leave you slightly disoriented, and will exhaust you quickly. Watch.” Aestenia vanished then, reappearing [4] meters to the left, leaving a teal trail in her wake. “Quick, was it not?” Student then showed appropriate surprise that would befit a good student RPer, then eagerly awaited Aestenia’s instruction. “Now, you must picture yourself shunting through the void linearly, without an anchor. It won’t work unless you do it perfectly linearly, since no anchor is used. Try it now.” Aestenia commanded. Generic Student shortly thereafter succeeded at rematerializing themself a few meters to the left or right, before showing appropriate disorientation and exhaustion, concluding the lesson, should they have no further questions. Likely, some OOC explanation of redlines would follow, as translocation is quite technical.

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

I would ask the parties involved of the full details of the situation, and the determine what redlines were exactly violated by the student. Then, I would ask determine if this violation was malicious or unintentional. If it was not intentional, I will simply remind them of the correct redlines and ensure they fully understand the spell they've been taught. If it is malicious, I will have a serious conversation with them about using the magic and discuss dropping them if they do not improve their behavior.

Aestenia Aevaris smiled softly as she looked at the missive, then to the living doll that now resided within her office. "You did well Kat dear, may you get to rest well now.." She looked out to the forest, taking a moment to mourn the last of the human children she helped raise.

Mariya couldn't stop bouncing around, her grin growing into a bright smile as she finally saw Kat since she asked her to send her off. "Schwester, you and I have a lot of catching up to do..." She couldn't hold in her happy tears as she pulled Kat in for a hug and further into the seven skies.

A CONTEST OF VESSELS

A Test of Momentum and Diligence.

Published: 6th of The Amber Cold, 112 of the Second Age

Having been known for their alcohol cultivation and stunning views, the Aevaris Talonnii along with the Court of Stars would like to invite all citizens of Celia’nor and their allies for a night of revelry upon the lake. The night shall start with the boat races around Starpool Lake and then finish off with the Celia’nor Brewer’s guild showing off their latest wines along with a few non-alcoholic options.

I T I N E R A R Y

BATTLE OF THE BOATS

To begin the evening, a great boat race will be held upon the lake in Starpool. Competitors will be provided with a vessel and challenged to complete a course around the lake in record time - the winner will be awarded a grand prize of 300 mina, with mina prizes for second and third place also. 

AEVARIS APÉRITIF

Following the competition, new Celia’nor specialty wines shall premier in Starpool and be distributed through the remainder of the evening. Guests will be able to try a variety of wines, appropriate for a variety of different taste palettes. 

A HUNTER’S BANQUET

To conclude the evening, a grand feast will be held within the Guild Hall in celebration of both the winner and the competitor’s efforts. Attendees will have the option of many dishes, including fresh fish and venison hunted within Starpool itself. Furthermore, for those who wish to participate, a dart competition will also be held within the hall.

The Celia’nor Brewing guild will be debuting specialty cocktails and ciders for this event, ranging from startling concoctions to spiced cider for those not so brave.
