  4. Randuinn cast a wary glance over the missive, suspicion coiling that of his brow. "I don't trust it - mark my words! He's likely preying on the good-hearted, seeking to strip men and women of their finest steel!" the holy man bellowed, towards the select few that lingered. "Beware of this Oyashiman or whatever the hell they're called!"
  5. Origin/Background/Culture The excrement of a Desert Wyrm lures not only descendent kinds in chase of a high, but also beast. Desert Wyrm Lore This wasp-like creature is known to swarm the blue mineral byproduct produced by the Ztabba - Wyrm. In hordes of thousands, these blue eyed insects yearn for the high of spice. Utilizing it, in their own venom. The sting of a Sariq ‘ Wajuh is akin to getting injected by the aforementioned spice. Inducing a euphoric, self-indulging high. Though, when swarmed, danger arises. The risk of overdosing on the azure drug is common among these swarms. Leaving afflicted descendents with unfortunate permanent symptoms. A spice overdose, induced by a Sariq ‘ Wajuh swarm often leaves descendents with permanent schizophrenia. Their eyes, a permanent iridescent blue. A common tale spoken by those afflicted, would be tellings of the future, albeit false. However, it is not their simple attraction to spice that grants this wasp their namesake. It is their unique reaction to one in a state of high, via spice. The pearlescent eyes of one afflicted, is enough to send these wasps into a state of frenzy - luring them to swarm said person's face in a manner that can only be described as an engulfment. - Hence the name, Sariq ‘ Wajuh which roughly translates to The Face Stealer. Creature Summary The Face Stealer is simply a wasp that feeds on spice rather than pollen. Its main resource is said blue mineral. This biological feat is reflected in their visage, adorning blue eyes and stinger, dyed by the likes of spice. The typical wasp like venom, is replaced with an injection of a concentrated deposit of spice, inflicting a high rather than that of the mundane sting. Taming One cannot tame an insect silly, for it lacks the mental acuity for such. Farming the wasp is possible, at a small scale. Perhaps for their high inducing sting. General Red lines/Restrictions [Player roleplayed creature, very akin to a swarm of normal wasps.] [The sting of a few wasps will induce a similar high to simply snorting or ingesting the Desert Wyrms spice .] [With proper face protection, while high on spice, one can roleplay a swarm of Sariq ‘ Wajuh shrouding their head. This too provides no advantage aside from a cool cosmetic.] [The permanent affects of the wasp swarm can be self-induced oocly and can never be forced upon another player.] Purpose (OOC)
  6. urukim hymnals, sung by none other than @DrunkPapaBear
  7. nahh this statement is wild whats ur minecraft account email and password?
  8. reminds of the old Sycophant of Boletius lore, +1 for being desert version
  9. Origin/Background/Culture Step…. step…. step…. The rhythmic stepping remained the only thing keeping the urukim caravan safe. Subtle rumbles causing jars and wares to fly within the wooden carriage, and the steed pulling it all roared in rampage… or fear. Any man or woman of the desert knew the signs. The sand felt hollow at their feet as panic grew. It seems that the leaders of the caravan hadn’t scouted the area well enough, before their departure. They were in the territory of the— The ‘Ztabba - Wyrm’ to those who spoke blah, and the Desert Wyrm to those who did not. Lurking beneath the vast scape, commonly found in deep uninhabited dunes, all with a right mind would learn to avoid the signs of Ztabba - Wyrm. Their language? Vibration. The millions of grains rubbing beneath one's step is enough to trigger a predatory reaction from the Ztabba - Wyrm. Should one be unfortunate enough to face the wrath of an adult, they would first have to deal with its goliath maw, full of man length teeth of collected ore deposits, the strength of steel.. Hence why, known Ztabba - Wyrm territory is both highly coveted, and avoided. Within the annals of time, historic Krugian tales often portray massive sand wyrms. Though thought to be extinct since the times before, legends grow to wake. Ancient archives would prove the ritualistic prominence of these wyrms, especially through their excrement. Capable of metabolising stone and sand, the Ztabba - Wyrm often leaves behind blue facets and ravines of concentrated minerals. If one brave enough collects a sample of this byproduct, they may utilize the high inducing concentrate in shamanic rituals. Leaving them with azure hued eyes, and a euphoric sense of self for a short time afterwards. This blue excrement is known as spice. Hidden through history, and secrets kept by certain tribes and clans - should a descendent be brave enough, they too could embrace the call of the Wyrm. By utilizing hooks and chance, adolescent Ztabba - Wyrm’s could be mounted and rode through the desert. It would look as if the rider was being moved over sand, at great speeds. Masters of the desert, to all who feasted eyes. Creature Summary Greater Desert Wyrm [Alpha]: Comparable to the rocky structures they reside in, the Greater Desert Wyrm’s length can span between ninety and four-hundred feet long, with their circumference only growing exponentially with their length. With a spice grinder like maw, this creature is capable of devouring entire mountain scapes whilst in a fit of rage, though more commonly found digesting the sand in which they frequent. The way this behemoth travels is through the vibrations of their rocky carapace - capable of vibrating them fast enough to render the sand in which they lay buried in a faux - liquid. Hence why many only know the Desert Wyrm by its precursor, the vibration. The social structures of these creatures remain hardly researched, though it is commonly believed that they live a solitary life, and that breeding is done asexually. The children, born ready to devour stone and sand alike, There exists two variations of this creature, the former commonly referred to as alpha. Lesser Desert Wyrm [Beta]: A lesser desert wyrm will always remain lesser, for the species produces a much weaker beta counterpart on chance. Far more common than the likes of an alpha, this lesser form is commonly what the desert people covet for their minerals and riding. Spanning a much less impressive, eight to fourteen feet length, their maw grinder blades are hardly stronger than gravel like deposits. Taming There is no taming a desert wyrm. It’s mind, too prehistoric, too undeveloped to understand connections with that of descendents. However, a known practice is utilizing hooks to form a parasitic relationship with the desert wyrm. The rider, the parasyte, leading the wyrm in an angered rage through the sand - riding it. Able to capitalize on their harmonic vibrations, traveling through desert on the back of a wyrm is seen as a feat of only great warriors. ST Notes / Abilities The Greater Desert Wyrm remains an ST only creature, and is unable to be used during player events. As mentioned before, the main ability of the Ztabba - Wyrm is its ability to swim through sand as if it were lighter than water. Their speed in which they do so, immense, guided by vibrations that they can sense, miles away. Their maw is also a point of interest. Seeing that the long spiked grinder-like teeth are derived from the minerals and ore that the beast consumes, their composition can be roleplayed by the event team as any ST ore of their choosing. Generating a more powerful boss fight, and perhaps offering more rewards at the downing of the beast, The lesser form of this creature can provide no benefit in collecting their teeth. All desert wyrms however, still produce their high inducing byproduct left in the midst of their consumption. The effects of this intoxicant can be roleplayed by the player, for not all the azure excrement will be composed of the same things. Though, one thing similar with them all, is the azure tinge caused to one's eye after consumption. General Red lines/Restrictions [Greater Desert Wyrms are unable to be roleplayed by players, and are saved for ST events.] [The rocky plates of the Desert Wyrms carapace are commonly rock strength, and are not hard to shatter with brutish force.] [The teeth of Desert Wyrm cannot be roleplayed as stronger than steel, unless approved by the story team.] (Player Signed) [The blue excrement can only be used on oneself and will only provide effects similar to current drugs. At the discretion of the player.] (Player Signed) [Riding a Lesser Desert Wyrm will provide the player no benefit aside from a cool mount.] (Steed Fluff) [One cannot roleplay riding a Desert Wyrm anywhere but in the desert.] Purpose (OOC)
  10. how you guys all should be glazing me right now for thinking up this amazing creature
  11. SALIUM'S DUNIC CREATURE EXPANSION Origin/Background/Culture The sand dasher, or Muad’dib remains hard to find within the vast dunes of Aevos. Longed by many shaman elders of the continent, they are seen as good omen to see, out of their dwelling. Perhaps a sign of safety, that it grew comfortable to part away from its den. The Muad’dib shares many similarities to its mundane rodent counterparts. The main difference however, is large set of ears that lay upon the Muad'dib's head. Through the baron scape of sand and stone, water is hard to come by, so these satellite-like appendages act as a pane to draw what little condensation remained within that of the air. Water, a commodity to many but life or death for the Muad’dib. In desert culture, especially that of the Qalasheen, you would find many tales that feature feint mentions of the creature's presence. Rare, but present. Always a blessing. Creature Summary The Muad’dib are a simple mouse, adorned in fur of slight cool hues that are often used in mating displays or in an effort of cooling. Their unique ability however, would lie in their ears. Capable of drawing of water from even the most dry of air - there exists something supernatural within that allows the water to almost cling to their form. The Muad'dib is often praised for its self-sustainment, not requiring that of physical water as a necessity for their survival. As for their place in the ecosystem, the sand-dasher is often found tunneling a few inches beneath the surface of the scalding dunes, as if they were swimming. This slight bulge is often spotted from above by aerial predators like hawks and the like. The birds dive down, hoping to ****** the sand-swimming rodent with their talons or beaks, but often miss—giving it its name, the sand-dasher. Their cultural significance is where this creature shines. In the desert, the title of most resilient is often bestowed to the Muad’dib. It is said that hundreds of thousands, upon millions of these rodents live beneath the earth, beneath the very feet of travelers while they traverse the sanded continent. Requiring little water to survive, they can remain underground for months - their ears being the only necessary exposed portion. Within the general lore, it is seen as good luck to see their ears poking from the sand. Children often play the game of trying to spot ears, but oftentimes fail. Taming These rodents are quite apprehensive to descendent kinds, skittish at the sight of anything other than their own. To tame one, one would require to raise one from birth. Finding them alone is feat enough, and to find them as babies is nigh impossible. They are useless in combat and provide no benefits aside from their lore and legend. General Red lines/Restrictions [This creature's water drawing abilities hold no use to anyone aside from themselves.] [Tamed Muad’dib would provide no benefit aside from a neat and rare pet.] [Muad’dib hides and body parts act as a mundane rodent would.] Purpose (OOC)
  12. everybody is a roleplay expert now hrrm
  13. Denied, reach out on discord for further clarification.
  14. Jed sprawled amidst the crimson-soaked earth, as the fallen Tar’s blood stained the dirt below. With slow, deliberate motions, he'd wave his arms to and fro' to form the shape of an angel into the coagulated ichor, a twisted mockery of purity. Anorhil's battered helm laid resting upon Jed's head. "Victory is mine and safety a lie!" bellowed he, his voice ringing over the battlefield like deafening knells.
